“Tired hotel, badged as Newcastle but around 7 miles outside. Disappointing that food closed at 9.30 with no room service available. No options to eat within walking distance. Having stayed at 10 other village hotels this is the worst by far and in need of a makeover.”

“Our room had not been cleaned before we arrived. We had to wipe some surfaces before we could put our things there. We found a worm on the bathroom floor. We stayed two nights and it was not cleaned during the time we were there either. The breakfast was simple, but prepared individually according to wishes. Very kind and friendly staff.”

“Great location however the house was not clean on arrival despite owner stating it had been cleaned. I needed to clean sour milk which was throughout the fridge. There was lots of mould and damp spots in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen.
