“Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel allowed pets for a nominal fee. They even provided treats at check in and after a walk, much appreciated by our dog. The mission statement in the lobby was something about genuine hospitality from genuine people. Very accurate description of how we felt. I’m sure countless guests had checked in before we arrived but I never felt like I was just a number or that the staff repeated the same scripted conversation. I...

“Exhausted upon arrival (I’m nearing the end of a 6500 mile road-trip), I was greeted by the (late afternoon) receptionist who clearly loves her job. She was friendly, welcoming, and seemed genuinely glad I had chosen to stay at the property. I was invited to partake in the fresh pot of soup that was simmering in the breakfast area. My chocolate lab was given a cellophane bag of mini-dog bones, and the room was set up (no carpet) for dog guests. It was a very pleasant stay. Thank you. ”

“This is a small-town friendly motel with clean but bare bones room accommodations. For example, the kitchenette has no cooking pots, plates, utensils, etc.--so bring your own. Beds are a little soft, but relatively firm. Towels are inexpensive motel version so you might want to bring your own. Direct TV worked well, but channels limited. Rooms are relatively quiet--but probably depends on time of year and traffic for fairs, rodeos, and hunting. For the price, it can't be beat!”
