“Très bon accueil dans cet hôtel charmant, dans ce village fort calme en ce début de février. L’hôtel est bien tenu, bien décoré, avec d’anciennes machines à coudre et à écrire, bien entretenues, dispersés dans les couloirs. Hâte d’y revenir en été pour profiter de la piscine et du jardin. ”

“After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed.”

“We have had a really brilliant holiday. The site is really spacious, the tent was amazing and the kitchen and dining area were more than fully equipped including loads of games The hosts(and their dogs) couldn’t be more welcoming or helpful. They were also really prompt at responding and ultra flexible in these really tricky times. There was plenty of space to swim, walk, cycle and play games, space which was especially welcome after lockdown. We’re so glad we were able to come.”

“La Partoucie is a fantastic property and set in the most beautiful grounds. We spent most of the time outdoors where there is ample space to sit in the shade or to relax in the pool. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay.”

“The most wonderful hosts and idyllic location. Beautiful huge garden, always plenty going on in what seemed like a very small town. Stephen and Michaela were so warm and welcoming and were very knowledgeable on the local area with some fabulous recommendations for food and things to do nearby. Great facilities and very clean house, even had an air fryer which is a proper luxury in France! There is so much in and around Confolens if you’re willing to look for it! Would stay again in a heart beat.”
