“This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. “As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not”

“The place is a little outdated, but we expected that from the pictures. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, it's clean, the beds are firm (a bit too firm for my liking, but my husband loved them!). We had a family room, and it was very spacious, there was a king size bed for us and two proper single beds for the kids. All in all very good value for your money!”
