“Nice spacious unit with everything you need. The TV was small and just free to air stations but I believe they are in the middle of upgrading TVs to all room. The motel apparently has spectacular views to Mt Taranaki but unfortunately there was too much fog and cloud during my visit to see it. Would definitely stay again if visiting Hawera”

“An awesome wee place! Great location right in town. Log burner was prepped for us upon arrival and kept us warm at night. Comfy beds. Great comms and thoughtful touches from the owners. A helpful note for your holiday planning: there is no washing machine machine at the property.”

“Absolutely stunning views of Mt. Taranaki! Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Basecamp. Great communication with host, very clean and had everything we needed. Our boys loved the basketball hoop and game garage. Easy check in and check out. 12 mins from gorgeous hiking trails.Everything was as pictured, but even more stunning in person.
