“The location of this spot of very unique! Our teen boys really enjoyed kayaking the bay and caught lots of fish close to the house. We enjoyed the privacy and quietness of the area. I do wish I knew ahead of time that you need to bring your own water for cooking. There is water at the bathhouse and camper but both are lake water. We had to run into town to get water for cooking so that we didn’t use all of our drinking water and it was a bit inconvenient not knowing ahead.The outside shower did...

“We had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed cabin. It truly had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Even with the snow falling, we spent our evenings building cozy fires in the outdoor pit and enjoying the hot tub. When we weren't outside, the basement TV made for perfect movie nights. The highlights of our trip, however, were the breathtaking sunsets over the lake, which we watched daily from the spacious living room. “We had a great time at the cabin, and Hickory and Black Lakes. Caught lots of fish, and enjoyed hiking. The host was very responsive to any communication, even repairing the internet satellite antennae the same day it became damaged. Loved the porch, as one day an eagle flew by the windows just a few feet away. Enjoyed the evening sounds of the bullfrogs and loons. I very nice and relaxing getaway!”

“Absolutely amazing property. Peaceful setting. We saw multiple deer running through the back yard and our dog had a field day watching them. We absolutely loved the home, it was clean and very well stocked. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the soaking tub at night. We are planning to head back to the area in the future and will definitely plan on staying here again.”

“The room was fairly clean. There was some water damage in the corner by the top bunk. The location is great as there are many great local food and sites to see. The signage for the parking was a little confusing as it’s not the same signage as in the booking for the hotel. Overall it was a great experience. The kids enjoyed having their own TV to watch and enjoyed the bunk beds. It’s a fairly beautiful room.”

“Breakfast was Delicious on day one but no one in the dining room at 7 on day two. I had to leave and was disappointed. I returned just after ten and everything was put away. But a kind kitchen staff gave me a slice of quiche right out of the oven. It saved the day for me. Conveniently located just outside the city limits and very nice views of the River. Spacious room. Bathroom fixtures need replacing.”
