“It was an interesting area and the rooms were quite spacious. The building seemed to have some improvements. It is an 19th century hotel so it must be an ongoing process. Bathrooms could be cleaner. We loved steeetside porch and 2nd floor porch.”

It also is right above the restaurant outdoor dining/bar area and it looks like there is live music there often so that may be unappealing for people looking for a quiet lake getaway. There is an excellent restaurant on site with beach front tables and a marina. It looks like it gets very busy there on weekends with boat traffic and tourists. “It's not a luxury hotel, the TV was small there's no free breakfast, but I stayed there a few times and it is always clean bathrooms are clean the rooms are clean the staff is friendly and the prices inexpensive and doesn't change a whole lot when school is in session and the other hotels double their prices. It's a no frills place but if you need a place to stay it's good”

“Sweet chalet, built around 1890 and fully restored, nestled in a rural, wooded area. So fun to roam the property and speculate about the long life of the houses, outbuildings and the area. Canandaigua Lake is big and beautiful yet everything you could need is within a 15 minute drive - including Wegman's! The hostess was responsive throughout the listing process. We didn't need to ask for anything special but feel confident Rebecca would have been accommodating. Perfect long-weekend getaway!”

“We so much enjoyed our two night's stay at Rainey and Jeff's campground and can't wait to return. Upon arrival, Rainey showed us around the campground, led us to our adorably decorated yurt and invited us to join the campfire later that evening for gourmet smores.
