Unfortunately we didn’t get a warm welcome - it was all a bit perfunctory. Pointed in the direction of our room up some very narrow steep stone steps had we had a disability or injury we wouldn’t have been able to get to it, I feel we should have been warned about the access before hand.
We chose not to eat on site so I cant comment about that.
Lovely room nicely furnished, shower wasn’t exactly sparkling I assume cleaning glass was overlooked.
Minor irritation was the lack of places to plug in the coffee machine or kettle which had been stored in a cupboard.
Nicely kept grounds and we did a lovely walk round the estate that was recommended, wellies to borrow at reception if you havent brought which was a nice touch
Same perfunctory attitude at reception when we left. No smiles.
Compared unfavourably with a hotel the previous night in Richmond.
