Yes. You checked in the day we left after spending a month there. It was hard to leave paradise for all those reasons. We have a great team to maintain this property which is not easy with the salt and the corrosive elements of the beach. It is convenient to be able to rent boards next door. There is also a surf school that teaches in front of our place. I love watching them.

Just a note to others who happen to experience any sort of problem, like the water heater going out. PLEASE let us know so we can do something about it right away. We had another guest coming in the same day we found out, which was a weekend so it was a challenge to get it fixed. Luckily ground water is 75 degrees so I guess it was easy to just get used to it.

So glad to hear you got into the Rincon rhythm! Jakes Coffee is our little, friendly, open air coffee shop and definitely adds a lot to Sandy Beach. It is a daily highlight, but it's only open during the high season. We are staying at Paradise on Sandy Beach right now doing some improvements to our place. The waves have been impressive. It is so fun to watch the surfers. We also saw whales jumping and playing the last 2 days which is my favorite for this time of year!

Thanks for letting me know about the mattresses. I'm heading down there on Sunday and we will get new mattresses and check what's going on with the shower pressure. In the future, make sure you tell Erica and Ryan about these things during your stay and they will especially call a plumber to fix the showerheads. They are excellent at correcting what is bothering you.

If you are physically healthy, don't let the stairs deter you to this top floor (3rd) villa. About 20 years ago we had first pick of the units when the building was new. I'm glad we selected the top floor for several reasons: better view, more privacy (people not walking by your windows), more secure to leave windows open, quieter (people not living above you) and better breezes with less humidity and more convenient to rooftop space. We've since had an opportunity to purchase a unit on the second or first floor and I'm glad we kept the top floor.

Yes, the view and location are incredible! If you are able to walk up 2 flights of steps don't be detoured by your age. It's how you feel, not a number. We are pushing 70 and many of our guests are older than we are. The third floor is worth it because it is more private (people not walking by your windows) and the views and breezes are better, too. It's also very convenient to the rooftop terrace with an extra bathroom handy.

Great to hear you had a wonderful vacation. I think the restaurant you are talking about is Casa Islena. That is my favorite! It is so beautiful there and the staff are just as friendly and accommodating as the scenery is beautiful.
