The property was amazing but if you’re staying to be close to downtown this property is 20 mins away by car. In the summer our issues may not be as critical but in 50 degree weather it was an ordeal to shower with ice cold water. “Vi gick till San Lorenzo stranden varje dag, 2km. Vägen var ganska smal men det var inte så mycket trafik så det gick bra. Stranden var fantastisk med en allmän del och en restaurang med sängar och parasoller. Noto, en mycket vacker stad i närheten är väl värd ett besök. "Otroligt mysigt hotell! Genuint och rustikt men ändå modernt. Fräsch, stora fina rum där allt man behöver fanns. Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Underbar takterrass. Frukosten var okej, supergott kaffe! "
"For anyone who didn’t look at all the photos of this hotel, you’ll be staying in a petrol station, on the main road leading to Modica. While we could have looked through to image 25 and the satellite images, we had unfortunately not done so this time (but will be sure to do so in the future).
This was the start to a stay that left a lot to be desired. Cleaning at this supposedly 4 star property apparently does not involve ensuring that the bathroom is stocked with soap and schampoo. Neither does it involve removing dirty dishes (coffee cups provided by the hotel) nor does it involve changing visibly dirty bed linen. Just making the bed up as is and putting the dishes on the side is enough here.
The hotel also claim to have a private beach. We were sent on a wild goose chase by the front desk to find said beach, only to find that the place they sent us to didn’t exist, and once we had managed to find this supposedly private beach, it was indeed very private, but not for the guests of this hotel - but rather for guests staying at their separate hotel located on the beach.
All in all, this is a fantastic hotel if you want to spend your holiday keeping track on those who runs from their bill at the gas station. "
