Kör 26 mil söderut till Cape Meares State Park för härlig utsikt och en trevlig bilresa runt Tillamook Bay på vägen, eller kör 17 miles norrut till Neahkahnie Mountain, precis förbi Nehalem Bay State Park, för vandring och mer utsikt. Saktka ner takten och utforska tidvattenbassängerna, göra lite badning och leta efter glasflöten och se till att du besöker den ikoniska Tillamook Cheese Factory för provtagningar och en rundtur.

Nice property but it’s very small, old could use a remodel. To start the futon (which is old and the leather is ripped was COVERED in sand. Cups were put away wet so mold was growing inside. The shower needs new sealant around the base mold has taken over the bottom, not to mention hair all over the shower so that obviously wasn’t cleaned either upon arrival. Old bed frame super squeaky, and Rickety. Vents on the walls were dusty. They leave gaps between the night stand and walls (so it doesn’t touch) but since you can see back there it is covered in dust and hair. Then the chain in the back of the toilet was broken so the toilet wasn’t flushing without you lifting the valve (in the water) in the back of the toilet. Was told maintenance guy was gonna show up and was never contacted about him coming in or if he even went the area property manager did say she went in the night before and it seemed that she fixed it. There was a sense of lack of communication, the manager for all the properties in that area also said that she would give me a compensation for the cleanliness of this property and never got back to me.

The location was great and having our dog with us was great. The Shower was too small, the place on the whole was smaller than we expected and we thought it was a single cabin but is was like a duplex. So it was noisy in the evening. We thought there was a fenced yard and there was not. We also did not know it was a VRBO.

Horrible experience

First impression when you can see through the space between the front doors is not a secure feeling. The door can be opened by just pushing on it if you wanted to but would probably take the whole door frame with it. Room is horribly run down needs so much tlc. Toilet ran horribly so my husband who is a plumber fixed it. When I booked the room online it showed a full size frig/freezer which is why we chose it for the seafood we planned on catching and the berries we were picking. Showed up to a hotel size frig. Called vacasa and asked to move or get access to another frig. Was told it didn't warrant a discount or move. They did offer 5% off for doing their maintenance but then took that back. Tried calling the "emergency " local number that must have been unplugged because it rang busy for hours. No customer service! Will NEVER book with Vacasa again or ever refer anyone to you.

Okay, but a little odd

This place was a little odd, but fine for the price. It is quite small but a good location to the beach and town. One of the oddities is that the bedroom window opens up to the other rentals in the group and there is a walking path right outside the window. It is disruptive and takes away from a sense of privacy. The kitchen has a few basics but don't plan on much cooking here.

Tiny place in rundown area

We were given wrong address and lockbox code to start with. Credit to service they responded quick and after 3 different codes we were in.The place is converded small garage with paper thin walls and no outdoor areas Can't even open windows as one is looking on the side walk and people literally walking 1" from the bedroom window on the side.Very stuffy inside.2 people were too many for the place.No place to prep food and sit down at the table for 2 . TV is hanging on the wall above and I knocked my head a few times.I am 5' tall. Beach is around the corner. That is the only plus. Very rundown surrounding street.All restaurants are serving pub type food. We left 1 day earlier without refund. Had to call twice to Vacasa as the lock box would not stay closed. They sent help with ETA 15 min.after 30 minutes no show I was able to open the box by guessing codes. Overpriced rental.Do not waste your money.

Very disappointing

This was not what I had planned for my first weekend away in over 3 years. When we first arrived the lockbox code we were givem did not work. When we finally got into the place we found that the pictures were very deceiving. The bathroom shower had not been cleaned as there were old bandaids and a d9rty washcloth in it. When went to bed we found that the security of the front door was highly questionable as you could see through a gap in the door and if you kicked it hard enough it would come right open. As a result my husband slept on the couch by the front door both nights. Upon going to make breakfast in the morning we found that the frying pans and coffee cups were put away dirty. We rewashed everything we used and went and bought lysol for the shower. Very disappointing as we will not be able to get away again for quite some time.

Oregon Coast Winter Weekend

The property was as described - location location location! Markets restuarants and beach are all within walking distance. This little cabin was perfect size for two adults and a medium size dog. The only negative I would say is how thin the walls are - although it sounds like they were having fun we heard every bit of it. Perfect for a sunny weekend getaway.

A Big Surprise

I was excited about getting away from the city of Seattle, during this crazy. I wanted sometime to myself to reflect on a budget. This property was well maintained and the amenities served their purpose. I was able to cook salmon, asparagus, and cheesy potatoes with my buddy. The food came out perfect, and there was enough bathroom textiles for a week. The neighbor's conversation did bleed through the wall sometimes, but it was not bad. The fact that it was a block away from the beach was amazing, and it meant that I was able enjoy walks along the beach with no people really around. I would definitely stay at this place again! Pro: Location / Con: Run Down & Smelly

I decided on an impromptu trip to the coast and it being Labor Day Weekend, this property was the only one available at a somewhat "normal" rate. I had an ok stay. The Pro to this property is it's location. Right in the heart of Rockaway, a block or so from the beach and restaurants. It has a shared yard with picnic benches, which was cool. It was a good way to met other guests who were staying at the other units. The Con was that this property is run down and desperately needs a deep clean. Upon entering the property, it smelled as if something was dying/had died somewhere in the unit. Even opening the windows to air out the space didn't help. The carpet in the bedroom is severely stained and felt as if it hadn't been vacuumed in a long while. There is black mold in the shower and a coating of dust on the windows. Now, I know this is a beach property and will can dirtier just because of the elements, but this unit is in need of a deep clean for sure. To top it off, I pulled back the covers and found hairs on the sheets. A small inconvenience, but something to be noted. ALSO, make note before booking... there is no internet provided at this property and barely any cell service in town. The other hotels are also very strict in not sharing wifi, so the only place to get it is at the Chamber of Commerce in the center of town. Would be ok if you're wanting to be off the grid, but I wasn't prepared to not have cell service. All in all, I did not feel I reaped the benefits of the cleaning fees. That being said, I did call the property managers, after my stay, to inform them about the lack of cleanliness and they have agreed to refund me the cleaning fee cost. So, there's that.

Smelly and home wasn't ready at check-in

We are very familiar with Rockaway - our families have been going there for decades. The place was cozy, but, it smelled really bad (pet urine? vomit?). The home wasn't ready upon check-in (4pm). We called and the housekeeper came right away. She said she would "clean it really quickly". I asked her to take her time and clean it thoroughly because it smelled really bad. Well, it still smelled the same when we finally were able to check in (5:30pm). Vacasa did follow up the next morning via phone call and email. I called them back to inform them of the terrible smell and to ensure they clean it for future guests so others don't experience that terrible smell.

Crowded stay but close to the beach

This place worked for us as we did not spend much time indoors. However, it was even smaller than what I thought it would be. There is no yard or area outside to hang out. Stay here only if you plan on spending a lot of time away. Place was clean. Did not have a dust pan which made it hard to clean up. Bed was really comfortable.

Relaxing and secluded

Very clean and compact. We could hear people from the unit that shares the main wall. Loved how close it is the the beach and how secluded it felt! Thanks for allowing us to stay.
