This newly built Rockaway Beach getaway is just the place for your family's next retreat to the Oregon Coast! Upon entering this home, you will be greeted by the open layout and airy ambiance that is created by the flow of the living area, dining room, and kitchen. No one will be left out during this trip, as even the chef of the group can be a part of the conversation while whipping up a tasty meal on the modern appliances of the full kitchen. Spend foggy mornings walking along the cool sand with a cup of coffee in hand and search for shells. After a day of lounging near the water and exploring the town, turn on the gas fireplace and cozy up on the large sectional for a movie night on the flatscreen TV. Don't forget to bring the dog along too, as this home is dog-friendly!



What's nearby:

This house has a great location just east of the famous Twin Rocks. Head out the back door and head out to the beach where you will find long stretches of sand to explore in either direction along with a view of Twin Rocks. There are numerous dining options along the coast and plenty of shops to explore downtown. Catch a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad for a quick trip down to the fishing village of Garibaldi five miles south. For a bit of adventure, head over to Rockaway Big Tree and walk along the pathways of the lush landscape nearby.

Like the most: location, roomy, each bedroom includes private bathroom, plenty of sunlight going through the entire house, large kitchen and living room.Things need to update: dripping kitchen faucet, dirty/stain rugs in living room, broken/old kitchen cookware, old/sunken living room sectional.In addition, the driveway is narrow; the cover parking is challenging to get in even with 2 mid size vehicles.

The house was a bit dingy which I guess made sense that it was dog friendly. The sink in the kitchen wouldn’t shut off and the bedding was sub par. We did however, love how close it was to the beach and check in and communication with the rental company was easy with quick responses. All in all, we enjoyed our time.

The downstairs overhead lights breaker flipped and was out for 2 nights of our trip. We were limited on what we could do by the minimal lamps. Contacted 3 different ways and no one came to help.

Spring break 2025

Our day was pretty good a few minor things I thought the garbage can was full however, I realize now that one was not a recycle. There was a few issues with the cleaning, but otherwise overall we had a lot of fun. I was disappointed that the views that are in the picture or not the views of the house And they cut off our beach access.

Family Gathering

Great location, easy access to the beach around the corner. Could use a little better cookware (griddle, etc) and larger kitchen garbage can. Otherwise, beautiful home, very roomy and perfect for our needs. Would stay again and recommend this to families.

Overall great spot

Great home for two families! Close for toddlers and kids to walk to the beach, we loved being on the West side of Hwy 101. We had some issues with ants in the upstairs bedroom and bathrooms, but the property manager was very responsive and stopped by to address it (which was much appreciated and made a huge difference!) We would definitely stay here again

Orig check in time was 4 pm. Got a call 4 hours before that we couldn’t check in until 7 pm. Likely because prior tenant had a late check out. Also, found Ants in kitchen. Couch was old and uncomfortable. Wanted to get late checkout but automated response said we had to request it days in advance

Family fun

My husband and I treated our daughters, their hubbys and our grands to a week at the beach, The house was the perfect size for the littles to run around and for everyone to have their space. Easy walk to the beach. Loved it!

Great Stay

The property was exactly as described, nice and clean, and had plenty of everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots and lots of clean towels and washcloths. Lots of space for our group of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids), and very close to the beach with the Twin Rocks right behind the house. No beach view sadly, but still a great place to stay. We really enjoyed it!

Loved our Beach Getaway!

My friends and I booked this place mostly because it was so close to the beach but this place is so much more than that. It’s very spacious, clean, and nicely updated. Loved that it had 3 1/2 baths and the kitchen was great. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the beach was not at all crowded. The only down side was that 2 of the 4 bedrooms had twins or bunk beds so 2 couples had to endure kids beds with plastic coverings on the mattresses, which were a bit noisy, but that will not stop us from staying there again. All-in-all we loved it! I would recommend this place, especially if your group includes children.

Overall great stay

We had a very good stay overall - property was clean, renovated, spacious, just a few minutes walk from the beach. Just some small things that would have made it really great (no big deal but easy upgrades) - there weren't enough kitchen towels and the ones available were pretty worn out. Kitchen utensils/cookware were hit and miss - some also very worn out and even rusty. Bathroom Wash clothes were quite dingy. Fireplace remote didn't have batteries so we bought some and left it there for next guest. The house was also very cold at first and it took several hours to warm up (I think the heat had been turned off). Overall, We would stay here again!

Thanks for ruining our holiday

We were excited to spend the holiday together on the beach and this property seemed ideal for us. Then one of our family came up with COVID. Vrbo and the host could not have been less helpful with any options. I was told the only option was trip insurance. Now we can’t afford a family trip. Would have been willing and flexible to take even partial credit for a different visit.

Great for a large group

This property and its layout was perfect for a large group, and the theme decor was perfect for the area. There were eight of us, and it was spacious and well laid out so that there was no feeling of crowding. (One more chair in the living room would be great, tho.). It has a large kitchen for cooking, which was great as we were there for a full week for Thanksgiving. A little more attention could be paid to the condition (cleanliness and damaged state) of the cookware and the linens in the house, as the towels in the kitchen and the washcloths in each room were very dingy and stained, and some of the stained bedding should be replaced. (We ended up buying our own kitchen linens for the week.) There were also not enough coffee mugs for eight people, but we ended up purchasing some as souvenirs and got by. When we arrived the coffee table had a broken leg, and we “limped" through the week, but it was a bit stressful worrying about drinks and meals potentially being spilled if it finally gave way fully. The overall property was very clean, however. We ended up purchasing a number of cooking items for the kitchen and just ended up leaving them, so the next person will be a little better set! I know that Vacasa has a very minimal list of kitchen inventory that they commit to, and I wish that wasn’t the case for such a large property that can accommodate large groups. We typically rent based on the kitchen and entertaining areas. The beach was an easy stroll to the end of the street and then up over the dune. It is a lovely and stunning walk. Overall I would recommend this property for large groups that are either family or friends. The room layout and number of bathrooms afforded a lot of privacy. Also had a full laundry area - very convenient! I saw other comments about the construction on the property next-door. It looks like it should be done within a few months, which will probably be a relief to future renters. Thankfully there were only three workdays that overlapped our time, and unfortunately on our first full day the crew from the construction took one of our garbage cans and we ran out of places to put the garbage from 7 days, 8 ppl, and lots of holiday cooking. We did not feel that it was our place to address it or go to that property to get it back, but reported it to Vacasa. We ended up having to leave some of our garbage in the kitchen area, fridge and garage upon checkout as there was nowhere to put it.

Nice house and location

The house is beautiful and had what we needed to cook and be comfortable while we were there. There were an abundant amount of white towels for showering but not enough kitchen towels or other towels to clean up any messes or wipe off kids and dogs that got Sandy at the beach. The heating system is unusual for the United States and most of the upstairs heaters had the valves turned off. If our son had not lived in Europe we would not have been able to turn the heat on. The property management team did not return calls within the time frames that they gave us and we had to keep calling back to get a response. We were told they would send someone out the night we arrived to fix the heating but we did not see anyone until the next day. It would have been helpful to have some instructions on how the heating system worked. Breaker flipped for the master bedroom and we could not locate the breaker box as it was placed behind a door I the laundry room. Maintenance did finally come fix it after we called multiple times with no return calls from them within the timeframe they stated. No pathway to the beach has been cut out behind the construction going on behind the house we stayed in making it hard to access the beach. Construction workers have left trees fallen down. We accidentally walked on the neighbors property down to the beach and upset them. It’s understandable that they don’t want people using their property to reach the beach. Vacasa or the property owner should make a pathway down to the beach or provide instructions on how to access the beach from public pathways. Again, it’s a beautiful house with plenty of room to relax. We would stay here again in the future.

Great stay

Very comfortable and slept our entire family. Upstairs bunk bed room door didn't shut all the way and rattled at night. Property was very clean and welcoming. No crab eating utensils/tools, like a pick and cracker. Kitchen trash can needs to be bigger. We had no trash bags. More shampoo and soap would have been good. There was no Kleenex. Not enough plates, coffee cups, and bowls for 10 people. The BBQ ran out of propane and there was no lighter for the BBQ. Again, none of this stuff was a big deal, but we wanted to let you know. The property no longer has an ocean view with the new building being built in front of it. The construction on the new building was a bit annoying, but not a big deal. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the house is very nice. Thank you.
