Om boendet

Forested Coastal Paradise With Views, Epic Game Room, Shuffle Board, Ping Pong, 1/2 Mile to Ocean

  • Tranquil by the Pond is the perfect escape. Sitting just a half mile up from the beach you have your own wooded enclave, complete with pond, views, movie room, and epic game room.

Upon arriving you will enjoy the ample parking at the roundabout at the home overlooking the hills and valley below. As you enter this incredible home you are greeted with foyer that opens up into an enormous open floor plans with the living, dining, and kitchen together. Just beyond is an expansive 600 square foot porch with forest and skyline views. Every piece of décor inside and out was curated for our quests to find the perfect blend of comfort and style.

This main level also has a spacious primary bedroom with attached bath and walk-in closet. The closet does have a crib for the families travelling with little ones. For those that need, there is laundry available on this floor as well. Upstairs there are another two bedrooms and full bathroom as well.

One of the jewels of this home is the bottom level game room. It is truly epic. The American Shuffle Board game is always a highlight and playable by all ages. There is a ping pong table with spectator seating. If you want to chill and game a bit there is a poker table for you to try your luck at, and a sauna if you need to steam away any losses. For family time, take a break and watch a show in the theater style room with the whole group. There are almost too many amenities to list here!

If all of that wasn't enough, there is an additional two bedrooms, and a kitchen within the detached dwelling unit. This helps provide ultimate flexibility for families and groups and options for sleeping arrangements.

It is virtually impossible to find any other home in the region with so much to offer that sits barely a one minute drive to the beach as well as downtown Rockaway Beach. There are numerous options for groceries, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment just a mile or two away. Please reach out if you have any questions at all. Tranquil by the Pond is an experience unlike any other.

The home was large, spacious, and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. The location was close to the main road and shopping/restaurants. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The theater/game room was fun, which our family enjoyed. The host was friendly and had great communication. The beds were quite comfortable, and the bedrooms were spacious. Would highly recommend to a family making a trip to the Oregon coast.

The house is well-equipped, comfortable, and set in a beautiful setting with tall trees, a pond, and great amenities. We had a good-sized group and appreciated the flexible layout. The game room worked well for a teenager, while the adults enjoyed cooking together in the open-concept kitchen and gathering for ping pong and other activities. We did experience some communication issues with the management team. Questions submitted through the VRBO app before and during our stay were answered promptly, but follow-through in the that application toward the end of our stay was inconsistent, which led to confusion and impacted the end of the stay. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

20 Stars!

Some of the comments from my fellow travelers were: “Excellent!” “Five plus five plus five plus five stars!” Tranquil by the pond is just that. Our quilting group had a phenomenal time relaxing and sewing. I can’t say enough about the homeowners who shared their home. Every little detail was very evident. There was so much to do. We were able to watch the deer by day and the frogs sang us to sleep every night. We highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay! We LOVED the house, the kids especially loved the yard and the game room. Only giving it 4 stars because the beds were not very comfortable and there were a number of things that didn’t work: shuffle board table, game room fridge, coffee maker, Wii, garage door and one of the burners in the stove. (To be fair I did accidentally break a framed picture, so we might be even)

This was the perfect space for our friend reunion! Lots of space to sprawl out and have moments of quiet. The game room was so fun to use and we really enjoyed everything the property had to offer. Cooking was a breeze with a fully stocked spacious kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean and homey. 10/10 would recommend this place! Easy walk to the beach and such lovely forest wildlife (deer) in the mornings :)

Fabulous vacation rental

We can’t see enough good things about this home we stayed at!! Very clean, practical things to use. The decor was very nice. We felt we were staying in a high class home. We have a new baby in the family and the crib area was perfect for them to sleep in. Absolutely love the game room. It was downstairs and very quiet while the younger crew wanted to play shuffleboard and watch movies. It was perfect for our family. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful beach trip with lots of good memories. 🧡♥️💜

Sibling fun

This is a nice quiet location. We saw deer on morning walks to the beach. Enjoyed the Tillamook factory and had a great crab melt at Old Oregon Smokehouse. The old forest walk is beautiful! The train ride was fun and informative.

Fantastic rental

The house was perfect for our beach weekend. We stayed in most of the time and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare several meals. The game room was fun and the deer in the yard was an added bonus. It was a short walk to the beach and downtown shops.
