Tranquil by the Pond is the perfect escape. Sitting just a half mile up from the beach you have your own wooded enclave, complete with pond, views, movie room, and epic game room.

Upon arriving you will enjoy the ample parking at the roundabout at the home overlooking the hills and valley below. As you enter this incredible home you are greeted with foyer that opens up into an enormous open floor plans with the living, dining, and kitchen together. Just beyond is an expansive 600 square foot porch with forest and skyline views. Every piece of décor inside and out was curated for our quests to find the perfect blend of comfort and style.

This main level also has a spacious primary bedroom with attached bath and walk-in closet. The closet does have a crib for the families travelling with little ones. For those that need, there is laundry available on this floor as well. Upstairs there are another two bedrooms and full bathroom as well.

One of the jewels of this home is the bottom level game room. It is truly epic. The American Shuffle Board game is always a highlight and playable by all ages. There is a ping pong table with spectator seating. If you want to chill and game a bit there is a poker table for you to try your luck at, and a sauna if you need to steam away any losses. For family time, take a break and watch a show in the theater style room with the whole group. There are almost too many amenities to list here!

If all of that wasn't enough, there is an additional two bedrooms, and a kitchen within the detached dwelling unit. This helps provide ultimate flexibility for families and groups and options for sleeping arrangements.

It is virtually impossible to find any other home in the region with so much to offer that sits barely a one minute drive to the beach as well as downtown Rockaway Beach. There are numerous options for groceries, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment just a mile or two away. Please reach out if you have any questions at all. This was the perfect space for our friend reunion! Lots of space to sprawl out and have moments of quiet. The game room was so fun to use and we really enjoyed everything the property had to offer. Cooking was a breeze with a fully stocked spacious kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean and homey. 10/10 would recommend this place! Easy walk to the beach and such lovely forest wildlife (deer) in the mornings :)

Great spot overall, but needs some attention, and the listing was slightly misleading .Pros: lovely, clean home, comfortable beds, plenty of room for a group, great location with easy access to my favorite spots on the North Coast, the sauna. Cons: First, the fireplace is not operational, which was very disappointing. The fireplace was one of the reasons I chose this spot, given that I was very much looking forward to cozying up in front of a fire after exploring in the cold and rain. The hosts apologized, said the fireplace was not a listed amenity. Listed or not, it is clearly visible in photos, so the listing should be updated to inform potential guests that it is not usable. Second, we arrived around 4:30PM on Thursday, and discovered that the light in the master bathroom did not work. I heard back from the host company promptly saying that they would reach out to their maintenance team and send someone to fix it. No one came, and later that evening I was told someone would come the next day and that I would get a call or text beforehand with a heads up. The next day, no one came again. I finally got an update in the evening saying an emergenency had come up and one one could come until Saturday. Saturday morning rolls around and someone shows up with no prior heads up. He told me he was sorry for not coming sooner but "Didn't want to waste the gas." He also had the wrong bulb, so the issue was never resolved.Third: The was a mold smell in the outbuilding

Great house with fun recreational activities

Fabulous house for our multi generational family vacation! The kitchen has everything you need for making meals including some seasonings in the pantry. The grill and outdoor seating overlook the beautiful large yard and pond. For clarity, the ping pong table and sauna are in the garage and accessed right through the laundry room and kitchen. The shuffle board, poker table (with all the supplies) and theater room (with DVD player and lots of DVDs) are in the basement of main house with separate entry under the deck. All of these were super fun by all ages to use any time of day. The ADU is in the separate building/shop with the two bedrooms (there is folding door on one that you cannot see in the photos). There is kitchen, TV, and sleeper sofa there. Laundry also there. No smell noted as stated in previous reviews. The main house is spacious and comfy furniture for hanging out and relaxing There are a few games, puzzles and kids toys in a cabinet. The Roku on the large TV works for your own streaming services. We would stay again! Staff were responsive to any needs.

50th Anniversary Family Trip

We celebrated my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary! The property was perfect! Having two separate areas was great for the adult grand kids to stay in. The game room and ping pong table were used frequently and often! Some great memories were made!

Sibling fun

This is a nice quiet location. We saw deer on morning walks to the beach. Enjoyed the Tillamook factory and had a great crab melt at Old Oregon Smokehouse. The old forest walk is beautiful! The train ride was fun and informative.

The main house is lovely but the ADU...

The main house is lovely - comfy beds, fun theater/game room, gourmet kitchen, great living room, short walk to beach. However, the ADU has a very moldy smell and one of the beds had sugar ants and small spiders in it. I reported this issue to the property manager and owner but received little more than 'sorry, we will look into it'. I highly recommend the main house but the ADU certainly did not live up to the online description. It is priced to sleep 12, but it really only sleeps 8 because of the ADU issues.

Main House is Amazing

This house is in a great spot in Rockaway. Walkable to the beach, and with lots of space for multiple families. The main house with the three bedrooms is awesome- great spaces for groups, well-equipped kitchen, fun ping pong table and shuffle board. The bonus house with the extra two bedrooms was not as great. The beds were uncomfortable and there was definitely a mold issue that was not new (I counted 6 air fresheners in the small space). I would give the main house 10 stars, and my family loved it, unfortunately as the reviewer, I stayed in the bonus house and definitely had a different experience.

Rockaway Treasure

What an incredible house. We have been staying in Rockaway for over 40 years and renting houses out each year. This by far has been our favorite. We could not have asked for a better place. the parking was great. The cleanliness of the house was outstanding Everything we needed was available to us. The beach was a short walk also into town. Great games, lovely home

We loved staying at this house! It was perfect for our family of 5 adults and their friends. The shuffleboard, ping pong and poker table were a great hit. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed making a good many of our meals throughout our stay. Beaches are within easy walking distance. Would recommend this house for family gatherings. Plenty of choices of fun activities at the house and in the area.

Beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay, in the game room aka shuffleboard where we spent most of our time as it was raining. The outside light was tricky on the stairs but we managed. The bed we're great. The outside apartment had a bad smell all I did before my friends showed was add some plug-ins and closed the laundry room door. All in all, it was a good stay.

Loved the cozy living/family room

My favorite things about this property were the comfortable beds, large and comfortable living/family room, spacious kitchen, and large dining room table. We love to cook and enjoyed the kitchen which is well stocked, but the gas burners are inadequate. The location is convenient for a walk to the beach and the surroundings are pretty and very peaceful. I must have missed the part in the description about not being able to access the game room from inside the house. Not a huge issue, but since it was raining, we did not feel like going out and around very many times.

Everything was great except there was dirty dishes left in the dresser of the master bedroom.

Stove cooktop doesn’t get hot enough. Takes forever to cook on. Plumbing problems. Wonderful home but not worth the money for the problems.

Tuna charter

Myself and five others stayed at the " Tranquil by the pond" so we could be close to the Garibaldi Marina. The residence was only 10 minutes away. It was a wonderful place. The game room was awesome.

I liked that this property was far enough from all the tourists but close enough to everything. kids loved that this property had probably an acre or two to run around. The movie theater was a plus. Overal we liked the property and the amenities it was offering. the only con thing i can think about is the main kitchen had propane as a cooking source. so it took a while to heat up the soup for our group.

We loved this property due to it being bright, clean and spacious. It accommodated our larger family gathering super well and the very short drive to the beach was nice. The house was well supplied in the kitchen and with entertainment options as well.

Great Place
