“Room very warm & cosy, lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Not really a wardrobe but a small cupboard with hanging space!! Fab food, great breakfast but you can’t have a latte coffee at breakfast!! Also breakfast finishes at 9.45am even at the weekend! Lovely dining room and great bar. Definitely good value and lovely location. Xx”

“I usually stay at Hetland Hall because it is located a bit off and it is quiet. This time though, not so much! There was a wedding reception (on a Tuesday) and I was for some reason given a room just over the ballroom. Extremely loud music until the middle of the night made sleeping impossible. I wasn't informed that there was a party that night and I can't understand why I wasn't given a room in some other part of the hotel. Simply unacceptable.”

“Fint gammalt värdshus med trevlig personal och trevlig stämning. Verkligt lugnt läge i liten by på landet, men ändå bara 15 minuter från motorvägen. Inom en timma är man inne i nationalparkerna Lake District eller Yorkshire Dales. Ändå negativa är att hotellets restaurang är stängd på måndagar samt att sängen var i minsta laget.”

"I was quite disappointed with my stay. The breakfast was terrible — very limited options and not appetizing at all. The room wasn’t comfortable; I could hear the neighbors talking and even snoring through the walls. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and to make things worse, the noise from the birds outside kept me up most of the night. Overall, not a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t stay here again. The good thing about the hotel was the location, at the heart of Carlisle. "

"Room was spacious but facing parking which came as a surprise. Breakfast and dinner options are good. Pool facilities are good. First breakfast only one person doing everything who was stressed and abrupt and complained so out loud. The other morning there were more staff so ok. In general staff are helpful and the stay was pleasant. "
