Having never been to the Alicante area before, we weren't sure what to expect.
From making first contact to book the property, communication with Yvonne has been very easy, and nothing has been too much trouble.
The one thing I hadn't realised before we set off was that I didn't have directions to get to the property, but I'd downloaded some free off-line maps which took me right to the door.
Our outbound flight was delayed by 90 minutes, but Mary, Yvonne's local representative was still waiting for us when we arrived. (Really appreciated that)
The house has everything you could need for your holiday. It's easy access to restaurants (Pizza Restaurante 222 really good food and good value) and supermarkets, and there's great view over the golf course. The sun terrace at the top of the house was a real sun trap. The area was quiet and peaceful and you feel safe.
It's easy access to tour the area with Guardamar del Segura, Santa Pola, Elche and Torrevieja well worth visiting. Alicante is a pleasant city with lots of eating places and some lovely bars near the marina for an afternoon cocktail.
Rojales itself is a great little place, and the cave houses (quite well hidden) worth a look. Again, plenty of places for coffee or to get a meal.
Where you stay can make or break your holiday, and staying at this property certainly helped to make our holiday.
