Exceptional stay!
We absolutely LOVED our stay! The location is exceptional and the rooms are excellent. However, the host really made the stay more than we hoped for - she is so genuine, positive, and helpful. We will stay here again in the future.

Fabulous hotel
This hotel was perfect. A lovely room with such a comfy bed which was just what we needed after all the walking. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The hotel is right by the Colosseum, it is quite surreal stepping outside and seeing such an amazing site on your doorstep. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.

Our room, which was for four people and had a brilliant view of the Colosseum was absolutely fantastic. It was spacious, extremely well presented with great attention to detail and lovely furnishings and a fabulous ensuite bathroom. We thought the view from the room was great until we went on to the roof terrace. You could not have a better roof top view in the whole of Rome and it was wonderful sitting up there in the evening with a glass of wine looking at the lit up Colosseum. The internal decor of the whole building was lovely and the original lift to get to the roof top was in itself impressive and the kids absolutely loved it. The place is in a great location within easy reach of many of the main sights. We walked to the hotel from Roma train station and then got the metro when we went back to the station, which is only a couple of minutes walk from the room. Frederica was an amazing host and incredibly friendly and helpful, setting out suggested routes for the time that we were there and recommending places to eat etc. When we realised we would be out before breakfast serving hours (as we had early tickets for the Colosseum -which i would recommend as the queues to get in a couple of hours later were huge) despite it being late notice, Frederica went out of her way to make sure we still had a full meal to eat before going out. I cannot say a bad thing about our experience here and would without hesitation stay here again.. It was perfect. Thank you Frederica.

Check in compliqué puisqu'il s'agit d'un B&B et pas d'un hotel. La personne n'était pas là pour faire le check in mais une autre personne présente nous a ouvert la chambre. On a eu la responsable au téléphone qui nous a demandé d'attendre qu'elle arrive, 1h plus tard, toujours pas là. La chambre est plutôt mal isolée, il y a eu du bruit toute la nuit. Petit déjeuner servi en chambre plutôt léger. Mais lit confortable, chambre joliment décorée et salle de bain propre et agréable.

Merci d'abord d'avoir eté nos hotes. Et merci pour la critique. C'est toujours une façon de s'améliorer. Nous ne sommes pas habitués aux mauvaises critiques et je suis vraiment désolée pour votre séjour qui ne s’est pas bien passé. Cependant, je voudrais clarifier certains points: 1) nous ne sommes pas un hôtel mais une maison d’hôtes avec chambres.. Il est clairement écrit dans tous les canaux de reservation. 2) normalement, nous contactons les clients à l'avance pour convenir de l'arrivée et éviter d'attendre. Je suis toujours là jusqu'à 15h. L'après-midi, à d'autres moments, je reviens toujours pour ouvrir après un contact téléphonique avec les clients. 3) le désagrément est dû au fait qu'il a été inséré dans Expedia - par erreur - mais nous ne le savions pas, la possibilité que la dernière minute puisse être réservée pour le même jour (le matin pour l'après-midi) comme dans votre cas et je n'ai pas eu la chance de connaître des temps aussi serrés organisant les contacts à l'avance. En fait, nous avons immédiatement changé pour Expedia en réservant au moins 24 heures à l'avance. 4) pour le bruit externe, je suis désolée. Nos chambres sont insonorisées mais parfois en été, dans le jardin dehors, face au magnifique panorama du Colisée illuminé, certaines personnes s’arrêtent pour parler jusqu'à la nuit tres tard.. Ce n’est pas de notre faute la grossièreté des autres .. j'espère que vous pourrez revenir pour faire l'expérience de la structure à son meilleur. Et avec un petit-déjeuner plus copieux ... Promis. federica

When in Rome
It's an amazing space with high ceilings and lots of charm. You are less than 5 minutes away from the Colosseum, a Metro station, and a nice park. Do work out your arrival and check-in time in advance.
