We saw the big north face of Eiger through our window, and sitting on the roof of the adjacent Grill Bar and having a beer while watching the mountains was just amazing. The lodge is basic but in great shape. Checkin and parking was very convenient and breakfast was good. â

âBeautiful, well thought out rooms. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Loved the coffee/tea bar located on the third floor. The breakfast was fabulous- Huge selection of choices and very tasty. Enjoyed the outdoors restaurant- food very good and the outdoors areas were stunning. Wish food service in the outside garden went into the evening as it suited all age groups.â
âThe view from the balcony is wounderful. The staff friendly and helpful with good tips for trips in the area, breakfast ok.
But, the TV did not funktion even though we tried to fix it wiyh the staff( the staff got it then working when we were out for dinner), one of the bedside lamps did not work and we could not find a switch for the lamp on the balcony. Since the reception closed at 9.30pm we had noone to ask and it was pretty dark sitting on the balcony in the evening.â
