This apartment had a good location near the beach, but when we arrived, we were surprised at the lack of amenities we've become used to having in a hotel or VRBO. There were only two rolls of toilet paper for our 8-night stay, no detergent for the washer, and not even salt and pepper in the kitchen, among other things. Our first night there, there was foul-smelling water coming up from the drain in the bathroom. The next day, someone came to fix it since they said it was a sewage issue in the building, and the smell went away. The next day, the same thing happened, and when the host finally responded, they then claimed that the issue was affecting the whole city instead of just the apartment we were in. The strong smell made it impossible to stay there, so we found other accommodations a few blocks away. Even though we only stayed two nights, the host refused to give us a refund for the remainder of our reservation.
