If I stayed again I would specify that we needed to be nearer reception. “This place is a little gem. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Very welcoming staff who clearly want the guests to have an enjoyable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again.”

“Although the reception, library room and breakfast area were fine this hotel is in need of renovation. We stayed two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially Julia on the front desk. Our beds were large and comfortable but the room was dated with taps not working and the toilet hard to flush. Breakfast was adequate.
