“Canceled my reservation an hour after check-in while I was already 2.5 hours into a 3.5 hour drive for my daughter’s Nationals competition. I booked months in advance through Expedia. They claimed they were short staffed and overbooked. The manager, was unapologetic and told me to “book somewhere else.” When I explained we were traveling with a baby and were one hour away, he threatened to hang up on me for “yelling” when I was simply upset. “My booking was relocated to another hotel. The staff was adversarial, unhelpful, and tried on multiple occasions to move us to a worse room than promised. We were put in smoking rooms when we specifically purchased and specified non-smoking. The rooms were awful, smelled awful, and the breakfast was very unsanitary. I would recommend this place to no one and it was only marginally better than sleeping in our car which is what we ended up doing the next night. ”
