Imagine waking up to birds singing, muntjac deer eating your grass and a fresh coffee made using our very own bean to cup coffee machine. You will not find a more private, peaceful or relaxing setting than this, whilst still being within walking distance to a 5 star Italian restaurant and less than an hour from London and 30 minutes from Cambridge. With treasured public footpaths and country walks galore, right on your doorstep, this is the perfect bungalow for a family break, an easy few days away from the city or a romantic weekend with your loved one.

This is a quiet Hamlet that consists of just four properties. To assist in preserving the calmness, we kindly request that you check in between 3pm and 6pm. You can self check in using a code.

All of our properties are set up to give you complete privacy and convenience. Smart locks are in place for access without the need to meet anyone and house manuals and other instructions are sent via email. But we are still on hand, whenever you need us. The Infamous Criminal Kray Twins and the TV Show Lovejoy: -
We live in this village and can not speak highly enough about it. Since moving here in 2014 we knew more or less instantly that this would be our final resting place and we were not even 40. Who wouldn't be enamoured with having Muntjac Deer, Wild Owls, Birds of prey, Hares, Pheasants and Herrings, roaming your garden every morning whilst drinking your coffee. Jamie Oliver is our neighbour, the famous 90's show Lovejoy was filmed regularly on this road and in the next house down. It's a 6 minute drive to the renowned medieval town of Thaxted which was a favourite holiday destination of the notorious Kray Twins of London. In Fact the restaurant and bar they once owned, Parishes, is still standing and is a favourite with locals and buzzing most evenings with walls covered in private memorabilia.

Baby Spice: - This is a protected but well kept Lane which is great for walks, bike rides, roller skates, scooters and Segways. So much so that we have included some bikes and high end Segways for your pleasure. Taxis are easy to phone and book, there is a village bus service a short walk away, but a car is needed when living somewhere like this. Take a Segway ride to Shore Hall which was once owned by Baby Spice

This suite forms the guest wing of the main estate. When the main estate is booked, this suite is closed and vice versa. So, when you book this suite, the rest of the estate is closed, and you will have sole, uninterrupted use of all of the grounds.

Set within the grounds of the old territory of Spains Hall, now owned by Jamie Oliver (yes, he will be your neighbour) is this exclusive detached home surrounded by 1.5 acres of private, secluded gardens and benefitting from far reaching country views that will simply take your breath away. Relax in extreme peace and privacy.

The Famous Essex Highwayman: - 0.5 acres of secluded gardens. Country walks. Public footpaths. The famous walkway used regularly by the infamous Dick Turpin and still sign posted to this day, leading you directly to lavishly preserved Blue Bell Inn once used as a hideout by Dick himself and today standing strong as a cherished local pub and exemplary restaurant.

The Sampfords are widely known as Essex best kept secret. You are surrounded by nature, beauty and quite a few famous neighbours. This is not a party town and although your neighbours are only few and not very close by, this is a place of rest and relaxation. Peace and not party. Please come and enjoy.

After booking you will have the option to choose further, non compulsory, creature comforts to further enhance your stay, that may come at a small cost such as pre heating the hot tub for you, additional coffee beans, food supplies, extra toilet rolls, ect.

The hot tub is usually an additional charge of £75 for the water and the chlorine as this is changed fresh in between each booking and we leave you enough chlorine to last you through your stay.

We would also appreciate it if you could send us through a photo of your photo ID so that if someone needs to meet you at the property for any reason, they know who they are meeting.

Additional creature comforts can be purchased after booking.

Note from owner: If you see the same property with the same pictures, multiple times, it's because we have various listings of the same property but are offering different configurations for different size groups. Basically, we lock or unlock the required or unrequired number of bedrooms. As soon as a guest books the dates they want for the configuration that suits them, the system synchronises the calenders of the other listings and makes them unavailable. It will not allow more than one guest to book for the same dates. Whoever stays has complete privacy and exclusive access to all amenities listed during their stay.
