Le Chai de La Boirie

We propose to you to rent, on the commune of Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron in the heart of the island of Oléron, this old wine storehouse completely renovated in 2022 with heated swimming pool, of a surface of 160 m ² and being able to accomodate to 12 travellers. It is composed of a beautiful living room of 57 m² (with fireplace), an open plan kitchen, five beautiful bedrooms, three bathrooms and you can enjoy a garden of about 300 m² and a large wooden terrace. Wifi, we are waiting for you!

The accommodation is composed as follows:
On the ground floor :
- A living room of 57 m² with TV, fireplace (wood not provided), sofas, armchairs and dining area.
- A semi-open kitchen separated by a bar and equipped with: electric kettle, oven, microwave oven, toaster, dishwasher, hotplates, Nespresso coffee machine...
- Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160×200), a wardrobe and two bedside tables.
- Bedroom 2: one king-size bed (180×200) separable into two single beds, a large chest of drawers and two night tables.
- Bedroom 3: bunk beds (sleeps 4, 90×200) and a wardrobe.
- A shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.
- A shower room with a walk-in shower.
- Linen room.
- Separate WC.
On the first floor :
- A landing with two bookcases, desk and various board games.
- Bedroom 4: two single beds (90×200), chest of drawers and two bedside tables.
- Bedroom 5: two single beds (90×200), chest of drawers and two bedside tables.
- A shower room with shower and WC.

Outside :
- A swimming pool (private, heated depending on weather conditions) from late April to mid-October, can be extended depending on the weather (opening dates non-contractual) to 10×5 metres. The pool is secured by an electric cover and, if required, a NF standard net fence, which is available on request.
- A beautiful enclosed garden of about 300 m² facing South and West. Various trees and exotic plants (palm trees, yuccas, olive trees, grasses) will give you a change of scene.
- A wooden terrace surrounding the swimming pool with furniture and an awning on the side to enjoy the nice days.

For even more comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: high chair, washing machine, baby bed, plancha, tumble dryer, fan, ironing board and iron.

The Chai de la Boirie is ideally situated in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, in a very pleasant environment in a quiet hamlet, in the evening the birds and frogs are the only sounds you will hear. You can enjoy all the essential shops nearby, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars, markets...

Activities
- Sightseeing : The Chassiron lighthouse with its garden is a must-see on the Ile d'Oléron, the Boirie garden, specialised in sage, also offers yoga classes, sailing trips around the Fort-Boyard...
- Sporting activities: numerous water sports activities are offered, including the famous kayak rides in the marshes, sea outings, horse riding, parachute jumping...
- Cultural visits: the old castle of the Le Berton family, the Marennes-Oleron basin (oyster basin)...
Elodie, who will welcome you on site, will be able to indicate different activities and visits according to your wishes.

Transport :
If you choose to come by car, you can park in front of the gate at the end of a dead end (1 vehicle).

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that may be useful to you:
- Bus: At the end of the street, a bus stop will allow you to reach the centre of Saint Pierre which is about 1.7 km away.
- Nearest train station: Rochefort train station is about 50 minutes away by car.
- Nearest airport: La Rochelle-Île de Ré airport is about 1h10 away by car.

Other remarks:
- Bed linen and towels are not included and can be provided on request, at extra cost (rental and payment to be made with our partner on site).
- Free Wifi available.
- The fireplace is functional, but cannot be used.
- One pet is allowed free of charge in the accommodation, please specify when booking.
- The end of stay cleaning includes the preparation of the accommodation for future visitors. Please leave it in a clean and tidy condition and clean all appliances after use.
- A parent is responsible for children's swimming.
- The swimming pool is cleaned by a company on Friday mornings around 8.00/8.30.
