The Space:
Welcome to Chalet Le Capitaine, a family retreat nestled in the peaceful heights of Domaine du Radar, in Saint-Sylvestre. Here, every stay becomes a true adventure, blending moments of relaxation with outdoor escapes.

From the moment you step inside, a warm atmosphere embraces you: two bright living rooms with TVs and sofa beds, an electric fireplace that creates a cozy evening vibe, and a game area for both kids and adults featuring a video game console, foosball table, and air hockey. Le Capitaine has thought of everything—even the little ones will love the secure outdoor play area located just behind the chalet.
Outside, a private spa awaits you for a well-deserved moment of wellness after a day of adventure.

What truly sets this place apart is its location at Domaine du Radar (access to activities available with daily passes). In summer, hike or bike up Mount Radar, relax at the lake’s beach, or spend a magical night under the stars in the mountains. In winter, experience the thrill of Quebec’s longest Austrian-style luge run, explore the snowshoe trails, go fat biking, or trek through the snowy forest. History lovers can climb to the top and explore the remains of the old military base.

The chalet is also equipped with an electric vehicle charging station, so you can stay connected while enjoying a 100% nature-filled experience.

Guest Access:
Our guests have access to the entire chalet as well as the private grounds surrounding it, including the stream, wooded area, outdoor spa, and children’s play area. No paid site entry fee is required if you are only using the chalet’s facilities.

However, to access the activities offered at Domaine du Radar—such as hiking trails, tobogganing, or the beach—a bracelet must be purchased at the welcome center. Daily rates are available directly on the Domaine's website. Please note that we are not responsible for the site’s activities, so we recommend checking the activity calendar in advance to best plan your stay.

The Neighborhood:
Discover Saint-Sylvestre, a small village in the Beauce region nestled in the heart of the mountains, just 45 minutes from Québec City. This is where you’ll find the Domaine du Radar, a former military site transformed into a vast playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Planning to enjoy a BBQ or an outdoor fire? Please remember to bring your own propane tanks and firewood, as they are not provided at the chalet.

Please note that one towel per guest is provided. If you plan to use the hot tub, we recommend bringing extra towels. A washer and dryer are also available at the chalet if needed.
