Lovely small cottage with a great view of Salobrena and also the Sierra Nevadas. Even with my limited Spainish we were made welcome by our host Virginia who then showed us around the town. Even though it was mid winter the weather was good, there were a number of restaurants still open. The accommodation is easily accessible to town then to the highways and we were able to go skiing one day and visit beaches later on. I can see this place being slightly less congested over the busy summer months when I plan to revisit. Hasta pronto

Totalmente recomendable
La casa es pequeña pero no le falta de nada. Camas cómodas, el sofá cama nuevo, menaje de cocina completo, horno eléctrico nuevo, ropa de cama y toallas de sobra. La limpieza de 10. Un lugar tranquilo con unas vistas espectaculares. La piscina no la hemos disfrutado porque es invierno, pero en verano tiene que ser una gozada. Y la propietaria encantadora y atenta. Lovely holiday in traditional cortijo in rural Salobrena
Perfect property for our first two weeks for the two of us and our two Hungarian vizsla dogs. At the end of an off beat road surrounded by fruit plantations. All we needed in the property for a comfortable stay. When the family arrived for our third week..2 adults, two teens..not quite as comfortable. Advertising it as a sleeps 6 is pushing it a bit..not a big enough or well enough equipped for 6, perfect for 4! We have stayed in the Salobrena area many times and enjoyed visiting our old haunts and then returning to our cortijo.

Vacaciones sin complicaciones
Maravilloso trato del anfitrión, solucionando cada cosa que me comentamos al instante, siempre preocupados en que nuestra estancia fuese agradable. Nos compraron una cama nueva, una sombrilla, una barbacoa, cubo de la basura, bombona de butano.... Magnífica piscina dándole el sol todo el día lo que hace que el agua este calentita. Estancia perfecta, tienes todo lo necesario para no salir de allí. Mucho fresquito a todas horas dentro de la casa abriendo todas las ventanas,incluso a medio día. Todo buenas palabras para nuestras vacaciones. Muchas gracias!... volveremos!

Preciosas vistas
La casa tenía de todo y las vistas al castillo preciosas desde la piscina y la azotea. La localización en el campo pero a escasos minutos del pueblo. La chica que nos recibió fue muy amable y atenta. Repetiriamos!

Preis/Leistung nicht gerechtfertigt...
Auf den Bildern des Inserat sah das Objekt Einladend aus. Für die Hausübergabe trafen wir uns in Salobreña mit einer Bekannten der Vermieter. Diese war sehr bemüht und zeigte uns im Schnelldurchlauf das Anwesen. Der Weg zum Haus ist eine Sackgasse. Dieser ist in so schlechtem Zustand, dass wir jedem ein SUV Fahrzeug empfehlen oder ein Mietwagen der sowieso schon in sehr schlechtem Zustand ist. Der Pool war leider aufgrund der Temperaturen nicht mehr nutzbar. Hatte aber generell sowieso zu wenig Wasser sodass die Automatische Reinigungsanlage den Dreck auf der Wasseroberfläche gar nicht absaugen konnte. Das Haus selber ist ziemlich abgewohnt. Sämtliche Verwandtschaft hat vermutlich etwas zur Inneneinrichtung beigetragen. Die Schränke im Schlafzimmer sind mit Mengen von durcheinander gewürfelter Bettwäsche vollgestopft sodass mein die Eigenen Kleider nicht in die Schränke hängen konnte. Ebenso die Küchenutensilien. Bei den Bratpfannen war die Teflonbeschichtung so defekt, dass wir von einem Benutzen abgesehen haben. Der Backofen innen Verrostet und vermutlich Irgendwo vom Sperrmüll mitgenommen. Außer ein wenig Frühstücken haben wir deswegen nicht in dem Haus gekocht. Sender am Fernseher gibt es nur in Spanisch. Fazit: zum reinen Übernachten und Duschen ganz ok....aber dafür könnte man für diesen Preis auch ins Hotel. Einziges wirkliches Plus....die tolle Aussicht auf Salobreña....Wiederholungsgefahr.....leider Null.

Nice and quiet place
Astonishing view from the roof on Salobreña castle on one side and the sierra on the other side. Very quiet place in the middle of mango trees with a swimming pool and all you need to enjoy your stay. 1 hour-drive from Grenada and 45 minutes from Malaga. Thank you to Virginia and her mother for their warm welcome.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Tolles Haus mit eigenem Pool und Dachterrasse. Blick auf die alte Burg. Sehr sauber und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Gasherd auf der Terrasse, super zum Fisch braten :-) Ein Highlight in unserem Urlaub. Sehr netter Kontakt mit Vermietern. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

bel environnement mais bruyant
Ce gite est bien situé avec une vue superbe et dans les plantations toutefois l'irrigation des champs dans les rigoles est situé le long des chambres et fait le bruit d'une cascade toute la nuit. De plus, nous avons de nombreuses coupures d'eau dans la semaine. Les propriétaires sont sympatiques.

A little gem
Just returned to rainy Yorkshire (UK) from a glorious week in sunny Salobrena at this delightful, good value, cortijo. I do not have enough adjectives to describe the location or the little farmhouse, nestled a mile out of the town (very handy for the Lidl supermarket!). The house is a perfect home from home; an array of useful extra items, bottles of water, games, books, magazines and toiletries. The interior is homely, light, clean and comfortable (although a firmer double bed mattress could be a good idea) and also there is plenty of bed linen and towels. We also liked the large ‘walk in’ powerful shower in the bathroom. The exterior is outstanding, with the pleasant shaded front veranda, the pool (with the most spectacular views) and various places to relax and soak up the sunshine. However the icing on the cake has to be the roof terrace. There are literally 360 degree views of; the sea (about 2km away), Salobrena castle (even more spectacular at night) on the hill above whitewashed houses spilling down below it, then the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the distance. As mentioned the house is conveniently placed, in a quiet rural location with no immediate neighbours (about 1km off the main road) a short 5 minute drive to the supermarket, the town and the beach. Salobrena is a great little Spanish town, full of actual locals as well as Spanish holiday makers, a few other nationalities on holiday and hardly any Brits. The old traditional part of town, leading up to the castle is delightful and then the castle itself is well worth a visit, even just to experience the jaw dropping views. Along the beach front there are various restaurants, cafes, and bars with varied and reasonably priced menus. It was also easy to reach other places of interest; Frigiliana, Nerja, Granada. We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly members of the owners’ family and with my poor Spanish and their bit of English (and the miracle of ‘Google translate’!) we got on fine. We even went with them to a Flamenco dancing show, put on by a group of local ladies and girls, and attended by all their families. We felt honored to be part of a local celebration, not something put on for the tourists. We rarely return to holiday destinations, let alone to a specific accommodation, however on this occasion I think there is a strong chance that there will be a return visit in the future! Casa muy bonita, acojedora. Estancia perfecta
Hemos quedado encantados con la casa. Sobre los alrededores, comentar que es tranquila al estar fuera de la ciudad. Sin embargo, en 3 minutos en coche estás en el pueblo de Salobreña. Hay que tener en cuenta que el camino a la casa no está asfaltado. El dueño nos recibió muy amablemente, nos explicó todo lo que necesitábamos saber, incluso nos dio consejo de dónde era mejor aparcar en Salobreña. Sobre la casa, comentar que tiene de todo. No te tienes que preocupar de nada en cuanto a utensilios, menaje de cocina, etc. Solo tuvimos que hacer la compra de comida, y el resto, ya lo tenía la casa. El agua no es potable allí, y tenían botellas de agua para nuestra disposición. Esto también fue un detalle muy de agradecer. Por último, esta muy bien cuidada, decorada de forma acojedora y dormimos muy cómodamente. Repetiríamos seguro.

Endroit tranquille bien placé pour découvrir la région. Tout le confort au milieu des plantations d'avocats et arbres exotiques. La piscine doit être bien agréable quand il fait chaud....Les hôtes sont très accueillants et habitent à proximité en cas de besoin. Salobrena est un très joli village avec son chateau, et la vue sur le site depuis la maison est magnifique!!!

Mooi gelegen tussen (7 autominuten) de zee en binnen een uur in de bergen. Het is een huis met prima basis (voor een redelijke prijs) waar we goed hebben geslapen. Vooral top is het dakterras - in de winter van alle kanten zon...prachtig! Ook vriendelijke mensen - die snel ter plaatse kunnen zijn als er wat is.

Lovely Little Escape From Stress
This casa is located in a very rural location accessed along a rough road and surrounded by trees on 2 sides. We arrived nearby and could not find it but Izabella, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and arranged to meet us and follow her there. It is a lovely rustic small casa/house on one level, perfect size for us and our two small dogs. There was a welcome pack of bottled water, various food items and there were plenty of other items available to make a stay comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and sunshine and it was a lovely home from home. The covered outside seating area is great for breakfast and evening BBQ/meals. Jose, Izabella's father has a allotment opposite one side of the casa and offered us tomatoes and vegetables/fruit. We will definately look at booking a further holiday there. Thanks to Izabella and Jose.

Schöne Lage, ruhig, da ziemlich abseits gelegen, gute Ausstattung. Nachteil ist, dass der Weg nach Salobreña, zumindest am Abend nicht mehr zu Fuss zu empfehlen ist.

Very nice house, very enjoyable stay
The house is a little way outside Salobrena, as can be seen from the photo, but it is compact and cosy with a nice little pool and we really enjoyed our stay. The owners are very helpful and generous and supplied many, if not all, of the basics you need. We would have no problem at all going back to it.

Great holiday in lovely surroundings
Excellent location just outside town amongst the orchards with wonderful views of the town and across to the mountains. Easy 20 minutes walk into town if you don't want to drive. Lovely little pool. Recommended!

Une semaine de vacances agréable même si le temps en ce début mai était trop juste pour profiter de la piscine et de la terrasse. Endroit très calme et parfaitement pourvu de tout....oui tout de la lessive au charbon de bois pour le barbecue...y compris le wifi Un accueil très sympathique et une souplesse de rendu des clés... La disponibilité des propriétaires et la gentillesse du père qui vient tous les jours à côté de la maison pour son jardin et qui prend de vos nouvelles. Je recommande fortement pour visiter le coin

Lovely quiet property in rural setting but close to town. Fantastic views.
The house was very well appointed and the owners had left lots of helpful consumables such a bottled water, cooking condiments, toiletries etc. They were very welcoming and available to help when needed. With views of the castle and coast one way and the snow topped Sierra Nevada the other side, it was a great place to sit by the pool and relax. We would definitely recommend this place.

Angenehme Winterwochen in Salobreana
Wir haben unseren laengeren Aufenthalt in Salobrena sehr genossen, das Haus entspricht unseren Erwartungen und dem dafuer bezahlten Mietpreis.. Die Lage des Hauses war ideal fuer uns, ruhig und doch nicht weit von allen Komoditaeten und Strand, wo wir ausgiebige Spaziergaenge machten. Die Strandpromenade von Salobrena ist sehr schoen gestaltet, im Ort findet man alles, was man fuer angenehme Ferien braucht. Frischer Fisch am Marktstand von Virginia's Familie! Freundliche Gastgeber, die sich um unsere Anlegen kuemmerten. Kleiner Wemutstropfen ist die Innentemperatur am Abend. zur Jahreszeit, wahrend der wir hier waren. Eine Verbesserung der Heizbarkeit waere wuenschenswert. Wenn dann der Fernsehapparat durch ein Geraet der neuen Generation ersetzt wird undvielleicht auch Kanaele in eineranderen Sprache als spanisch erhaeltlich sind, magnifico! Wir haben uns mit Radio uebers Internet geholfen und Gesellschaftsspiele gespekt am Abend, es geht auch so!

Traumhaftes authentisches spanisches Ferienhaus etwas ab vom Massentourismus
Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem kleinen Häuschen in Salobreña mit sehr netten, entspannten und hilfsbereiten Vermietern. Die Aussicht von der Dachterasse ist genial, unsere Kinder waren nicht mehr aus dem Pool zu bewegen und wir konnten derweil gemütlich in der Sonne liegen. Das Haus ist umgeben von Obstplantagen was die Spaziergänge sehr Interessant gemacht hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

A fabulous 9-night stay in this charming cortijo with stunning views of the castle and old town.
I'm afraid I wrote a long and glowing report of our holiday but I've now lost it! Suffice to say it was the best holiday, the cortijo was extremely comfortable, and we fell in love with Salobrena. We want to do it again next year if we can.

Vue magnifique, au calme et à quelques minutes de salobrena
La ferme est parfaitement équipée, la piscine très agréable et la vue magnifique. La maison se situe au calme à quelques minutes de salobrena, de son marché, ses commerces et des plages. En résumé ce lieu à tout pour plaire! La famille qui nous a accueilli est d une grande gentillesse, discrète mais disponible en cas de besoin. Un grand merci a Virginia et particulièrement au "Papa" avec qui nous avons pu discuter de son verger et de l Andalousie. Ses conseils de visites andalouses ont été précieux. Bref nous sommes partis avec l envie de revenir très vite! Encore merci !

Had a fantastic four weeks here with my wife, Steph. The property is ideally situated for peaceful walks or down into town for the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches. The terraces all have great views and the pool was used everyday. Jose Snr is a fine chap who supplied us with free fruit and veg and also roses for Steph. We were really sorry to leave.

Hübsches einfaches Häuschen mit schönem Pool. Ideal zum Abschalten!
Wir sind als Paar verreist und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Häuschen ist einfach. Aber sauber und hübsch. Man kann auch gut zu viert hier Urlaub machen. Es war für alles gesorgt. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft gelebt, aber die Privatsphäre gewahrt. Der Pool ist herrlich und am Strand ist man mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten. Der Ort ist hübsch und es lohnt sich auch einmal bis zur Burg durch die kleinen Gassen aufzusteigen. Wir hatten eine ruhige, erholsame Zeit Anfang Juni. Als Ausflugsziele sind natürlich Granada, aber auch Nerja zu empfehlen. Die schönste Badebucht, Playa de la rijana, findet man ganz in der Nähe. Vielen Dank nochmal an Virginia, die uns sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen hat.

Fantastic!
Lovely house away from the town. Quiet and private. Owners could not do enough to help us. We broke the bathroom mirror by accident and thought we should email the owner to apologise. I had an immediate reply saying that somebody would call that afternoon to repair...and they did! Jose's (the owner) daughter and father looked after us so well. The house was clean and well equpped and away from it all. We took our jack russell terrier and there was space for him to run around and play. Overall, fabulous house, fabulous owners who were SO helpful. A car is probably useful if you wish to get around a lot but as we have a motorhome, we parked it up for the duration and walked into town, which took about 25 minutes. Thank you Jose, Virginia...and Papa...for a wonderful stay at your lovely property

If I could give this place 6 stars I would, the roof terrace alone is worth 5 stars. Ideally situated with fantastic views. If you are visiting Salobrena and thinking of booking a hotel, DON'T! book this gem instead. Truly amazing.

Estupendo para 4 personas, fuimos 2 parejas y la verdad la casa tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días de vacaciones, piscina, barbacoa, con unas vistas a la sierra y al castillo de salobreña excelentes, y sobretodo mucha tranquilidad, ya que se haya en las afueras del pueblo entre los cultivos de la zona. Los preparativos por parte de los propietarios fueron excelentes, jabon para el baño, toallas, cepillos de dientes, sabanas, agua, gas butano y algunos ingredientes básicos para la cocina, vamos mejor que en un hotel. A destacar la amabilidad de los propietarios y las vistas del lugar.
