The owners Carl & Tace were so friendly from the get-go and we really liked our room, especially the bed itself, how clean it was and the location. You’re really close to the centre, sea and a nice little park/gardens opposite. “The best way to describe the Great Western is with the two words, quaint and quirky! The house is in the middle of a massive re-vamp, but that did not impinge on my stay, which was short, but long enough to form a very positive opinion. “Excellent all round. Such a lovely helpful, warm welcome on arrival and every morning at breakfast, which was delicious. Room was lovely, spacious enough for two and really quiet. 2 min walk to beachfront, 5 min walk to town. Will definitely be going back.”

“Nice clean, cheap and quiet room to stay the night whilst travelling. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a couple minor issues (not the fault of the hotel in any way) which were resolved quickly and easily by the staff. The bathroom in my room was excellent. Massive shower and super modern and clean. Highly recommended. ”
