The river view and excess was great. The pool was clean and amazing view. Things I didn’t love the food prices and choices. The shared shower we got was poorly taken care of with some strange smell. The staff were not helpful during check in and throughout the trip. One night our bartender took 6 shots within 20 or 30 minutes. He messed up our order and was forgetful. One thing I noticed was they would clean the floors often in the common area but not the dining tables after every guest was done eating. The bungalow was really nice I just wish they had mosquito nets since the bungalow was an open front. If you like to eat more traditional or local food for a normal price I suggest skipping their restaurant and walking up a small hill to eat at the entrance of champey. They have delicious hand made fresh tortillas and home made salsa.

Leider hatten wir alle nach dem Abendessen am nächsten Tag/Tagen Probleme mit dem Magen. Das Dach wurde gerade neu gedeckt - ist natürlich notwendig aber da wir nur eine Nacht da waren etwas unglücklich. Das Personal war im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Übernachtungen auch nicht die motiviertesten. / Toll war die Nähe zu den natürlichen Swimming pools.

La struttura è certamente bellissima e ben tenuta e poi si trova davvero a 2 passi dall'ingresso del parco di Semuc Champey. Il ristorante è un po' caro, ma le porzioni sono abbondanti e il cibo molto buono. Il personale è un po' disattento: abbiamo chiesto per 3 giorni di fila gli asciugami e non ce li hanno mai portati! Ma la cosa che più non c'è piaciuta è stata la festa organizzata tutte le sere fino alle 22.00/23.00: ci aspettavamo un ritiro immersi nella natura, dove ascoltare i suoni della giungla e invece ci siamo ritrovati la disco con musica alta fino a quando non staccavano i generatori elettrici! Ci è sembrato veramente troppo per una struttura che si trova proprio nel centro di Parco Naturale, oltre che fastidioso, lo troviamo davvero insostenibile.

Phenomenal location and staff but no hot water
The location is excellent - less than a five minute walk to the entrance to Semuc Champey and less than a 10 minute walk to the cave. And the staff was outstanding - very friendly and helpful. And the pool was great. BUT you should know that there is no hot water and only 4 hours of electricity each day - from 6-10 pm. These things are mentioned in reviews but are not readily apparent from the listing. But we think the convenience of being so close to Semuc Champey was worth the inconveniences.

I wish I had downloaded films on netflix
The place has an amazing location. I don’t understand why they can’t provide electricity and wifi. You’re stuck in the middle of nowhere and are forced to go to sleep at 10pm. The staff were nice, however, and the location made the stay worthwhile.

The room was ok. Basic, but that’s what we signed up for. However, there is no shared kitchen but a pricy restaurant. Also pool was not clean at all. It’s an ok stay but only for max 2 nights

It was an okay stay. The staff were very helpful and nice. However, make sure you know that this stay does NOT have wifi, and the cell service is almost non-existent. This is great for unplugging, but we didn't know this ahead of time. Also, the electricity is only on for a couple hours a day. My husband sleeps with a CPAP machine, and we did not know this ahead of time.

Very good (no wifi neither using Hotspot)
The hostel is amazing, the location, the kindness, the river view swimming pool and terrace is really unique, unfortunately they don't offer a simple Hotspot internet on demand, and this nowadays nobody likes. I mean, such a good hostel like this slip on this has to be mentioned.

The perfect spa to visit semuc champey The entrance is around the corner. Don’t buy the tour from the hotel. You can walk to the entrance yourself and paid the entrance fee.

This hotel located in the best part of the beautiful Semuc. It is in walking distance from the famous Semuc pools (pozas) and also the cave tour which we highly recommend. The area is really beautiful and our room (more like cabin) had a great view of a river.

The property is very cute and the bungalows were nice except we had some very loud people underneath us. The bed and pillow weren’t comfortable but the showers and bathrooms were shared but clean

Espectacular, bello y magnífica ubicación
Magnífica vista, cabañas a orillas del río Cahabon, a la par del ingreso al parque Semuc Champey. Es ecológico, con energía eléctrica por la noche, pero es magnífico para desconectarse y disfrutar. El servicio del personal y guías del hotel es muy bueno. El vehículo se puede dejar en el otro hostal hermano de este en Lanquin, y ellos coordinan en traslado hasta este hostal. Sin duda es un lugar para disfrutar despacio y de preferencia por varios días. Todo el personal es muy amable y dan buenas sugerencia para disfrutar el viaje.

Personnel super accueillant! Très bien organisé! Notre serveur Sergio était très gentil et toujours souriant. L’emplacement est parfaite et la vue à couper le souffle. L’entrée du site de la piscine naturel de Semuc Champey est à 2 mins à pied. Prévoyez 50qtz par personne pour y accéder. Des souliers d’eau sont aussi utiles pour ce baigner puisque que c’est très rocheux pour accéder à l’eau et donc très glissant. L’hotel n’accepte que l’argent comptant, aucun guichet à proximité. Il n’y a pas de wifi et l’électricité ne fonctionne que de 18h a 23h. Ainsi que de 13hà 14h dans l’après-midi. Les cuisines fonctionnent quand mêmes normalement et la nourriture est très bonne! Il n’y a pas d’eau chaude. Parfait pour déconnecter de la réalité et relaxer. Ce n’est pas pire que faire du camping et on est vraiment bien dans les chambres. Les employés passent leur temps à frotter tout ce qu’ils voient alors l’endroit est spick and span! On conseil fortement! Amanda, Sabrina et Chantal Mars 2020

A localização é ótima, poucos metros da entrada do parque de Semuc Champey. O hostel também tem uma estrutura boa, com piscina na beira do rio e restaurante, além de organizar tour pelo parque e caverna da região. Como sugestão: acho que o tour deveria sair mais cedo, propiciando mais tempo livre nas piscinas naturais. Saída às 10h é bastante tarde...

L’emplacement par rapport à Semuc Champey est exceptionnel et la piscine avec vue tres agréable. Il n’est pas possible de manger ailleurs qu’à l’hôtel et la nourriture est décevante. Le transport par boite de pickup est a améliorer, surtout lors de mauvais temps, c’était même dangereux. Les autres hotels ont adapté leurs véhicules afin qu'ils soient plus sécuritaires. Les cloisons des chambres ne sont pas fermées, donc beaucoup d’insectes, l’électricité fonctionne de 18h à 23h, pas d’eau chaude, pas de wifi, bref pour du camping dans un endroit incroyable c’est bien, pour le reste il faut limiter ses attentes.
