Great stay for quick trip
The carriage house was just what we need for our visit. The bed was comfortable, internet worked great and easy parking. Shirley recommended some local restaurants and we had a chance to check out La Fonda. This is a local gem! We even headed back for dessert in another night. So great to have a restaurant so close and so delicious nearby. This place was the perfect location for us, close to downtown and also the highways. We were able to get back and forth to downtown and hip on the 281 to head out of town to visit family. Great place to stay for a quick visit if you’re looking to check out the local sights in San Antonio and a comfortable room to go back to. Thanks for a great stay Shirley and David! This is a clean, comfortable place in a beautiful neighborhood. It was well stocked and the owner gave clear instructions for check in, etc. I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Cozy little carriage house above garage. Location was great, property was well maintained. Very safe and and quiet neighborhood. Host was very kind. Stayed 3 nights and had all the amenities that we needed.

Close to Trinity University
Private, lovely 1 BR/1 BA garage apartment in a beautiful historic neighborhood, much like what's just west of the campus, only a mile SW, and an easy 15-20 minute walk. Wonderful hosts and setting.

Wonderful place to stay!

Amazing carriage house!
Beautiful carriage house in a lovely historic neighborhood. Loved our 3 night stay at the Crisler Manor. Beautiful setting and furnishings. Great communication with the owners. Conveniently located to downtown San Antonio. Quiet and had all the amenities that we needed. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little hideaway in San Antonio. Shirley was readily available and so kind in accommodating us as we arrived earlier than expected and allowed us to store our luggage until the room became available. The outdoor area is impeccably kept with a fire pit area and beautiful planters. We really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on foot. So many restaurants easily accessible. Lyft and Ubers can bring you anywhere you need to go very easily. Didn’t pay more than $18 for any ride we took. Had a delightful day walking along the Riverwalk. Highly recommend.

Charming carriage house beautifully decorated behind a grand house. We’ll equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. Private yard for sitting outside in the evening. Quiet upscale neighborhood of architecturally significant turn of the century homes makes for lovely evening strolls.

The property was fine however the shower was pretty pathetic with a 5$ shower head. The hottub only reached 99 F so luke warm also its in the host house front yard so no privacy and felt like a petri dish scenerio so the wife didn't even bother. Dogs barking also was an issue. The AC was right at the foot of bed so be prepared for cold feet. The host was horrible. We first get a call before check in that we hadn't made final payment a day before we was to check in at 8AM she was adamit we pay immediatly the final payment. Paid right away and everything was fine. But then we get another text telling us about checkout and it was a day earlier. Then on the day we are leaving at 8:30AM we had a problem with the lock wich the batteries died. We tried many times and no answer no reply untill noon which we had all ready left our belongings. So be prepared to be ghosted unless she doesnt get your money or wants you out.

Beautiful property, easy access. Had a couple of general questions while there and were answerws very quickly. Neighborhood was beautiful to walk around and within walking distance to coffew shops and restaurants. Bout a 10min drive to river walk. Just all around wonderful place & location.

Cozy Getaway
After a long week at a conference, it was nice to relax in this cozy, charming garage apartment. The historic neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Perfect for long walks. The location is very convenient as well! We found a yummy Greek restaurant, as well as a delicious Italian restaurant nearby. The only drawback to our stay was the hot tub. Unfortunately it was not ready for us to use. The owners were very responsive and offered a $25 refund for the inconvenience.

Great guests who were gracious regarding the cloudy hot tub the first night of their stay. We were out of town until day 2 of their stay and serviced it that morning but it wasn't ready for their use after an athletic event they participated in.

Gorgeous neighborhood and perfect spot to lay down at night!
This house was in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever seen! This little apartment truly was perfect for laying my head down at night. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy (and the sheets so soft!!), a well-stocked kitchen, and a perfect little bathroom. Loved all the windows and the character of the place. Lots of stairs though, so come with your climbing shoes!

An upper floor Carriage House studio behind a lovely home. Well appointed, very clean. Modern bathroom, all the little amenities that make a stay memorable. Shirley was attentive friendly, a pleasure to work with. Also in a great, historic neighborhood, full of gracious old homes. A pleasure to walk around, soak up the area. A terrific place and a relaxing stay.

Extremely clean
Place was small but cozy. Bed was super comfortable. The floors were clean and I mean they were very clean. If I can walk barefoot and not get anything on my feet that is huge to me! I kinda felt bad coming in late, I was afraid we were going to wake them up because it automatically turned the lights on. The only downfall to this place is all the stairs. But I knew going in that they were there. So if you have bad knees or just don't like stairs then I would not recommend this place. Other than that I give it a five star!

Cute little place
My husband and I came to San Antonio for a quick weekend getaway. The property is super cute, safe and nice neighborhood, and incredibly quite. It was perfect for the 2 of us and had everything we needed for this quick trip. The neighborhoods around were adorably decorated for Christmas and we took at walk every evening to look at the impressive homes around the property. If you have knee issues the stairs up to the property may potentially be an issue but definitely not a deal breaker. Our flight didn’t get into San Antonio until 0200 and the host left the nights on for us, very easy to find in the dark! We would definitely stay here again, now back to the Idaho snow 🥶.

This was a clean, comfortable, quaint place. The owners are so sweet. The only thing I wish was different is where the hot is located. I specifically got this place for the hot tub but didn’t feel comfortable going into it for privacy reasons. I would highly recommend this place for sure. Location is also close to the river walk and Alamo.

Loved everything about our stay! Nice safe quiet neighborhood. Studio room was very clean and nice and cold on arrival. Also perfect location! Super close to the river walk, mi terria restaurant, the market, the north star mall, alamo candy store ect. The furthest we had to drive was 20 minutes! And any questions you have they where very prompt to respond. We will definitely book another stay in the future. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Place
My daughter needed a place to live for a week when her lease expired four days before she graduated. This place was perfect. She was still close to the culinary school and I was able to stay with her when I came in for the graduation. It is in a great area and close to many attractions. Shirley was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back when we are in town again!!

The neighborhood is very quaint and beautiful. Only suggestion we have is to turn on the A/C before a new arrival. The apartment was very hot and uncomfortable the day we arrived. The steps were also quite steep but manageable. The apartment was as shown on the website. We would stay here again.

Beautiful San Antonio
My daughter and I came into town for my Aunts 90 th birthday party and stayed a few extra days to shop and enjoy the city. The home is beautiful and the neighborhood exquisite. I will be back! Only suggestion is to turn the AC u it on two hours or more before the guests arrive during the summertime heat. After about five hours it cooled off. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!
