Tenuta San Cassiano With Garden And Pool, San Cassiano, Italy

This large villa, which can sleep up to 15 people, is set in extensive grounds, in quiet countryside, but just 15 minutes from the Adriatic coast. With a private pool and beautifully appointed outside space, it is the ideal destination for family or friends who want to relax in private, but also go out and explore the glorious Salento peninsula.

Access to the villa is via impressive gates and a long drive that leads up to the main entrance. There is a large living area, full of light thanks to the double-height ceiling, furnished with a wooden dining table, a fireplace, an armchair and flat-screen TV. There is a door which opens onto the swimming pool terrace at the back of the house.

The separate kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee machine.

The outdoor spaces have been created, with as much care and attention as the interiors. To the side of the house, near the swimming pool, there is a spacious loggia with stone floors and pillars. Here guests can dine al fresco at a large dining table. There is also a second kitchen which has a cooker hob, a sink and a BBQ outside.

The private swimming pool has two fountains which are excellent for hydro massages. There are sun loungers and large umbrellas so guests can relax after a refreshing swim.

Sleeping
The villa has 6 bedrooms in total. There are 4 double bedrooms on the ground floor (1 bedroom also has a single sofa bed) and 2 further bedrooms upstairs. One of the upstairs rooms has a double bed and a double sofa bed as well as an en suite bathroom and a private terrace. The other upstairs bedroom, which has a glass wall overlooking the dining room, is furnished with a double bed, large wardrobe and armchair.

Bathrooms
There are 4 bathrooms in the villa, including the en suite bathroom on the first floor. Each of these is appointed with a shower, basin, bidet and WC.
There are two additional showers by the swimming pool as well as an external WC.

Location
The villa is between the lovely towns of San Cassiano (4 minutes) and Poggiardo (4 minutes). Both towns have weekly markets (San Cassiano on Tuesday and Poggiardo on Wednesday) where you can find the best, freshest local produce. Both towns have supermarkets and other amenities as well as some excellent restaurants.

15 minutes from the villa is the famous coastal spa resort of Santa Cesarea Terme, with its thermal baths and fascinating caves. There are also some lovely beaches nearby including Porto Miggiano Beach (14 minutes) and Cala dell’Acquaviva (16 minutes) where a freshwater spring makes the sea refreshingly cool.

Not to be missed is the city of Lecce (30 minutes drive), known as the “Florence of the South” and blessed with wonderful Baroque architecture as well as Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

The closest airport is Salento Airport, Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
