Welcome to the Artist's Penthouse, a stunning 1400 square foot retreat that comfortably sleeps six. This private, fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bath haven boasts breathtaking ocean and city views from the master bedroom, living room, and kitchen.
Step out onto one of the two decks for some fresh air—one located off the living room and the other an exclusive escape off the master bedroom. Both have expansive views of Catalina Island, downtown San Clemente and on really clear days San Clemente Island.
The penthouse features two smart TVs and panoramic WIFI that easily accommodates streaming, gaming, and more, ensuring a strong and reliable connection.
The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with a gas stove top, microwave, oven, refrigerator with ice maker, and a Nespresso machine for your coffee delights. Cozy up by the fireplace or cook up a feast with our gas grill.
Adorning the walls, the displayed art is created by talented local artists as well as the hosts themselves, adding a personal and creative touch to the space.
A dedicated workspace with a desk is available for those moments of inspiration or necessity.
Each room is equipped with an overhead fan, ensuring your comfort throughout your stay. The penthouse has forced heating to keep you comfortable.
Convenient off-street parking is available, along with lockable storage space at street level for your bikes, surfboards, and more, providing ease and security.
All linens, including beach towels and gear, are provided for your convenience, and the penthouse is pet-friendly.
A shared paid washer and dryer are available on-site for your laundry needs.
Downtown is a short walk where you can find, shopping , restaurants, wine bars, breweries and entertainment .The first Saturday of each month brings the arts and crafts fair on Del Mar, every Sunday is the Farmer's Market . San Clemente's yearly festivals, concerts, and community events are an added benefit to all who live and visit this beautiful little City by the Sea.

I highly recommend this VRBO! The owners would text just to make sure that everything was going as planed. Gorgeous views of the sunset! They made sure that we could easily park our truck in their drive. They made my husband , dog and I feel very welcomed. This home is very roomy and comfortable. We didn’t cook but there were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, plenty of towel's etc.

This was the perfect home to stay in for a family vacation with my college aged children (and Dachshund, Barnaby). We enjoyed the phenomenal views from the balconies and living room and the home itself was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts provided plenty of the expected amenities and even some lovely surprises. They were so nice and welcoming to us. This was the perfect place to make San Clemente home for a little while. I highly recommend it!

The view alone would be five-star, but the apartment is also beautiful, comfortable, and well-supplied; Lisa and Russell have thought of everything from beach towels to art. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

A truly wonderful experience in all aspects. Great location. A lanai beyond superb. Perfect for morning and evening relaxing.Charming hosts who have thought of every detail imaginable from a gourmet kitchen to Scrabble and other board games. The beautiful gift basket included delicious home made granola among other treats. We highly recommend the Artist's Penthouse.

A big slice of Heaven on Earth! From the moment we arrived to the send off on our last day, Lisa and Russell were the most gracious hosts. They went over and above to make it feel like home. I think hosting and helping people is their calling. The views from both decks were so beautiful- no matter the time of day. The space was perfect for our family! We absolutely loved staying here. The apartment is amazing - beautifully appointed, super comfortable, with lots of the little things that make a stay perfect like coffee service and beach gear. There are great shops and restaurants just 5 minutes walk away, and the view from the balconies was spectacular. Russ and Lisa are also amazing hosts, who obviously cared about our experience and wanted us to enjoy the place and made us feel really welcome. We are already planning to come back and stay longer.

I honestly can't say enough about how nice and comfortable this property is. The patio views are so amazing. The first night we arrived we wanted to go to dinner but as soon as we sat down on the patio furniture, seeing the view and feeling the cool breeze......we decided to eat in. And this was our favorite place each morning and evening. The house was equally as comfortable and cozy. everything was very clean and decorated so nicely. Russ and Lisa left the biggest welcome basket will all kinds of goodies and homemade granola. we have never had this wonderful treatment at any other VRBO. It was very surprising and sweet. We look forward to coming back to San Clemente and staying here again.

Perfect summer vacation!

Lisa & Russ provided the perfect getaway and summer stay. Communication was great from the start, Lisa ensuring that we had all the accommodations prior to our arrival. Russ provided us a tour of the penthouse and we were greeted with homemade granola (which was AMAZING), bottle of wine, and treats!!! They even had snacks for my fur baby. The view was absolutely breathtaking. It was perfect to start the day out on the patio and watch the sunset together with the family. The penthouse was much larger than the photos listed. Very spacious for my whole family. The penthouse was very close to all the restaurants and free trolley to the beach. Would definitely come back again in a heartbeat!!!!

A little piece of paradise

We had a wonderful time at the artists penthouse! Myself, my mother and my chocolate lab Lyla found much needed rest, relaxation and rejuvenation at this hidden gem in beautiful San Clemente. It is clear from the moment you enter that much love, care and consideration has been put into the property. The apartment is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and stocked with everything you could need. Welcome goodies are always a lovely touch. Lisa & Russ are so kind and welcoming you instantly feel at home! Easy 10 minute downhill walk to the beach, shops and restaurants… and back up you get in your work out for the day :-) I highly recommend this beautiful home for a care free peaceful beach town holiday!

Amazing.

From beginning to end this was a fantastic stay. Communication was spot on. No doubt left as to parking, amenities, view. All superb and couldn’t recommend Lisa and Russell high enough. Had a last minute work meeting that delayed our departure and Lisa/daughter were able to work around us as one packed and one worked. We felt so bad but they pivoted with ease!! Thank you!!This really is a spectacular property for the area and shouldn’t be overlooked. The view is Amazing! Be aware it is near and walkable to downtown but has a bit of a steep walk. Nothing we couldn’t handle just a note. And they are incredibly welcoming to fur babies. Our Luna felt so welcome and comfortable. Super cool. Thanks again for the stay and we will see you again soon!!

It was absolutely the perfect choice for our 5 day stay!Lisa and Russell were gracious hosts, welcoming us with a Goody Snack Basket. Russell met us at check in, and Lisa checked in with us several times during our stay.The Penthouse is bright and airy with spectacular panoramic views of the coast! Our family had an incredible stay at this gem of a place overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The hosts were extremely accommodating and provided extra amenities we didn’t expect. The place was quiet and clean. It was nice to have our dog with us for a nominal fee. The rooms were big and we were very comfortable! Being able to walk downtown was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

THIS is the place!

This place is fantastic! The views are everything - plus the space is large and the hosts are so helpful. It's clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. There's pretty much everything you could need for your visit - including beach chairs & other equipment. Relax on the deck, lounge on the big indoor couch, walk to downtown & the beach. If you want to stay in San Clemente, you'll be happy with this place. A great value.

Home away from Home

This property is everything a VRBO should be with one exception. Not sure I would expect the $1M view that this property has. A deck overseeing the ocean with an incredible setting for watching a sunset with a glass of wine and a book. Lisa and Russell are the most outstanding hosts and makes it hard to see them as hosts. They treat you as family or visiting friends. They receive you like family. They have a lot of extra touches that make you feel like family. But what makes this home so wonderful is after a long day out, you feel like you come home at the end of the day. Thanks Lisa and Russell for sharing your home with us.

Father Son Retreat

Lisa was in communication from the time I booked. Russell met us when we arrived to walk us through the property. The views from the deck out at the ocean were breathless, the sitting area was amazing for a great visit. The kitchen table was perfect for Lego assembly after a day at Lego land. The location is great to hit all the attractions within an hour. Highly highly recommend!!!

Amazing Experience!

Wow! Just wow. The rental property was the epitome of under promising and over delivering. Exceeded all expectations. Amazing views of the water from most windows and balcony's. Two separate bathrooms both very orderly and accommodating. They gave us free snacks, drinks, even wine! Very much worth the money! Won’t stay anywhere else in San Clemente again haha!

Russell and lisa met us as we rolled in, this propery was clean, roomy and well equipped. Top Notch Artists Penthouse

No A/C needed in this stunning ocean view rental. Ocean breezes and ceiling fans in every room make way for just about anyone to get a delightfully restful nights sleep. Beds are super comfortable and rooms are very large with large closets as well. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean and stocked with just about everything and anything you may have forgotten. The entire penthouse is tastefully decorated with local artistry and the likes of the towns historic district. The views are spectacular from the large front deck as well as the master bedroom deck. Privacy and security were never a concern for us and we even had a parking spot in the driveway. However, this property is so close to the main park of town, restaurants, San Clemente Pier and beach that we mostly walked to our destinations and didn’t have much need for a car when we were hanging out in downtown San Clemente. The kitchen is beyond stocked and could be considered chef friendly, so we loved having the capability to host many meals and had several BBQ’s with friends on the front deck that provided ample seating for us all. The stunning sunsets had us mesmerized at the end of every day and we often tried to get home beforehand to witness and enjoy the compelling beauty of the Artist’s Penthouse. We really can’t say enough about the quality and beauty this property blessed us with. The Artists Penthouse is like staying at a private residence at the Ritz Carlton, but better!! We will certainly be returning soon!

The sunset views and the ocean views were absolutely beautiful from our location. The hosts were so very friendly and went up and beyond to make our stay amazing!! We couldn’t have asked for a more memorable get away . Highly recommend staying here.
