Saved my stay in San Diego!
Steven was able to rent out his space last minute after another VRBO cancelled on me. Great location and an excellent space from which to launch daily excursions in the downtown/Balboa Park area. The layout was perfect and the place was clean and all appliances working. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

Great location, great place! Would stay again
We came in for Comic Con and the place is nice and spacious, modern and sleek. We enjoyed the room and experience overall. Steve was a pleasure to work with, and when a couple of hiccups arose he was Johnny on the spot getting it fixed! overall great experience and enjoyed our time. A+++++ rating

Great property and host!

San Diego in a week!
Excellent location! Spacious, clean, updated, quiet and safe area! Communicating with host very easy! We did the parking on the street for $10/day, and had no problem finding parking within 1 to 1 1/2 block area. Highly recommend!

Great option for SD visit
It was so great to be in this guest house as opposed to a hotel! Paid extra to park off the street which was wonderful since street parking is limited. Liked that the property was gated and quiet. Easy highway access made it a convenient location. Air conditioning was nice to have. The owner was friendly and very helpful. We were very comfortable and would stay again.

The house was very nice and clean. It could’ve been a little better stocked ie: coffee, bath soap. The smart lock was an issue every time we came back. Plan on using Uber/lift especially at night due to the homeless people camping on the sidewalks.

Excellent house for staying in San Diego
This was a great property-clean and well maintained and in a good location for exploring Central San Diego. Only thing which would make it better would be a bit more information about the equipment in the property eg type of coffee machine and things like what to do with the bins. Steve was really responsive though when I messaged him.

SDSU Move-In
We stayed at this property for my son's SDSU move-in weekend. The property was very clean and Steve was super accommodating. The house appeared to be having some renovations done (cut outs in ceiling) and there was ongoing yard work outside. I assume all were for the betterment/improvement of an already nice property. On-site parking is "tricky" but if you're a good driver, you can pull it off :). This is a great stay if you want to be close to downtown and everything the city has to offer.

Excellent location!
Walking about a mile to dinner every night was a treat, especially in that San Diego weather. The house was 5 minutes from our ZipCar spot (highly recommend taking that route rather than deal with parking). Steve was very communicative and welcoming, also handled an issue in a timely manner. There weren’t any dressers in the bedrooms, so unpacking never really happened which isn’t ideal for a week-long stay. Tons of closet space in the master bedroom. I’d also suggest having a welcome book that details the air conditioning and TV, and any other “need to know” items.

We really enjoyed our stay on Cortez Hill -- great location, easy to get to and to get out to other parts of San Diego. The listing was exactly as advertised and the property manager promptly responded when we had not received check-in instructions from VRBO automated send. Would stay here again definitely.

Top Notch
This place is more than advertised. It is larger than you think and great space for a family of 4. The location can’t be beat. The property owner is great and super friendly. It is definitely worth paying extra for parking if you have a car. If you doby there are some great options to get around. Definitely recommend the circuit electric carts.

Perfect Downtown San Diego Property/Location

Great Location in Downtown San Diego
This property was well located in the heart of downtown San Diego. We walked to the ocean and seaport villages as well as Balboa Park and Little Italy. The owner was super friendly, helpful and flexible with all of our requests. He was easily accessible for questions and always prompt in responding. He also gave us some great tips on where to go in San Diego! We had a great time!

Great Property and Outstanding Owner
We spent spring break in this home and loved it. You are in walking distance from the baseball stadium, restaurants, and beautiful Balboa Park. I actually spent my mornings going to a yoga class in the area, having a great breakfast each day and walking in the park. Steve was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. When I come back to San Diego I hope this spot is open so that I can stay here again!!

Fantastic location, fantastic host
We have stayed here twice as a family and we love it. As long as it is available, we will return every year. We love the location, the ease of parking, the easy walk to Balboa Park, the proximity to the airport, the layout of the property, and the comfortable beds. We have never had any complaints. Short stay at Christmas
My wife and I were dislocated due to property damage at our house in DelMar. We found ourselves looking for a short-term rental for ourselves and our two dogs. This property is new and clean. We were very pleased by the entire experience. We got to meet our host and found him to be a very nice guy, and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The only downside was that the bathrooms were both on the bottom floor away from the living room. The on-site parking was very challenging as well. But the neighborhood is really nice and is tucked away adjacent to I-5 with a nice strip park at the end of the block.

Best place to stay in San Diego!
Everything was lovely! It was very clean, inviting and comfortable! Steve the host is the best and made sure we had a great stay. The location of this property is supreme and made its easy to see and do everything we wanted. I highly recommend this place. It doesn’t disappoint (even the kids called it living in luxury)!

Jennifer You are a gem! 💎 Jennifer experienced some challenges that other guests haven't. She could have easily let anyone of these issues effect her stay or provide us with a negative review, yet she didn't. 👍There was an inconvenience because one of our pedestrian gate locks was stuck, the maids didn't put a base sheet on a bed and we were out of toilet paper and paper towels and the staff didn't replace them. Jennifer informed me of these issues, but didn't let them effect her stay. Any host would be lucky 🍀 to have Jennifer rent their unit. Trust me guests like Jennifer are one in a million! Jennifer i give you 6 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of a possible 5! I'm seriously grateful for her stay and if her approach to how she handled the challenges with her stay is any indication of how she handles life.... Jennifer is going to have a very joyous and remarkable existence. Bravo Jennifer! You have my sincere gratitude.

Perfect Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed Steve’s beautiful property. Everything was just as it was pictured and more. The neighborhood was lovely and walking distance to Little Italy. Steve gave us great tips for the area as well. We celebrated my birthday with family and everyone was in love with the condo. Also got to meet Henry, Steve’s adorable dog🐕 We would definitely visit again!

Great stay at Steve's
My wife and I visited San Diego for 8 nights. Our stay at Steve's condo was a really great experience. The condo was spotlessly clean and more than spacious for two. It had all the right kitchen tools to prepare meals and the appliances were new and worked well. It was well supplied with cleaning products as well. The open floor plan on the first level was a nice combination of dining, kitchen, and living space. Nice big TV and comfy chairs and couch. Bedrooms were nice on the lower floors and quite updated as were the two bathrooms. We really enjoyed interacting with Steve and he was super helpful in telling us about the neighborhood and places too eat. The best part of being there was Henry the tiniest watchdog ever. It was always nice to be greeted by him. The neighborhood was nice, safe, quiet and easy to walk to downtown. I would highly recommend staying at Steve's place.

Great Location
I stayed at this home with my daughter and three grandkids ages 3-14. The home is very modern, clean and well-stocked with everything needed for a good vacation. The location was perfect as it is minutes from beaches, Seaport Village and restaurants. Steve, the owner, is very pleasant and prior to renting, answered all my questions promptly. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a clean, convenient home.

Great safe location
Felt like it was a very safe area. Walking distance to little Italy and Gaslamp. Pay the extra $10 for the parking pass worth every Penny. Utilize the FRED, free ride share. Apartment was well appointed and clean.

Friends were overwhelmed by how nice it was. Kept commenting. Modern and clean. Great location. Although we enjoyed dining out, kitchen was well appointed. If you like no check out chores, this is the place for you. They take care of it all. Would stay here again.

Wonderful home in a great location
This wonderful home is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is in close proximity to everything. Quick walk to Balboa park, short ride or longer walk to downtown and about 15 minutes to the airport. The house is clean modern and quiet. Steve is a great host. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

Great place in a nice neighborhood
I took my kids here for a family trip to celebrate my son's graduation. We really liked this house as our base for exploring San Diego. Cortez Hill is a lovely neighborhood, and Steve is a friendly and knowledgeable host. Beds were comfortable and living space clean and attractive. If you have a rental car, I recommend renting the parking pass. Street parking is in high demand, but we always were able to find a space within a block or so. We would definitely choose this rental again.
