“What a terrific setting nestled in the mountains outside of Cartaga. The Tico style cabin had two bedrooms and a single bath with a great room containing the kitchen, dinning room and living room. I spent most of my time on the deck. Was clean and well maintained. ”

“Beautiful surroundings and cozy cabins. The staff was very friendly. We only stayed one night and did not have time to explore the area any closer, but if you are a nature lover this is definitely the spot to be. On the downside it should be mentioned that the road to the property is about 11 km of rather rough gravel. While a 4WD is not strictly necessary (the hotel said that any car would do) I would not not recommend going there in a smaller sedan or similar, especially not in the rainy...

“This property consists of 3 relatively new cabins located inside a secure gate beside to the main road that circles the beautiful Orosí valley. The cabins are surrounded by greenery including a giant stand of bamboo and orange trees from the family’s orchard, which smell delightful! The road is quite busy during the day but very quiet at night and we had no difficulty sleeping. The cabins themselves block most of the outside sound. There was plentiful hot water for the shower from the rooftop...

“The staff is excellent specially Alfonso and Alberto. Good location. The management is very attention to detail; at night they give you a lavender sachet in the day they give you complimentary Nestcafe coffee machine access. The food at the restaurant is delicious at a gourmet level with a fare price. They also have live DJ at the bar. I loved everything about this hotel!”

“Everyone here seemed quite friendly and helpful. This was quiet and felt safe and there was an included breakfast. One hope would be that coffee be offered at or before 7:00 a.m. as I'm an early waker. The only possible coffee option is McDonald's a walk away. this was the only issue, but not a big one at all.
