When you visit Sunrise Cottage, you’ll feel as though you’re in the heart of nature. However, you’ll also be just a few minutes’ walk from Puerto Rey Marina, which offers the best food you can find in the area. You’ll also be a 15-minute drive from downtown Fajardo and the central market. Sunrise Cottage offers you the perfect balance between relaxation and activity, as it’s very close to many other excursions such as snorkeling, hiking, swimming, sailing, and fishing. Come explore and enjoy a simple way of life while witnessing the never-ending spectacle of this magical natural setting.
    When you stay here, we offer you a private room with its own bathroom (including a shower) and private entrance. The bedroom has 3 beds (1 queen and 2 singles), a small refrigerator, a microwave, and coffee makers. From the balcony, you can enjoy views of the ocean, palm trees, and the front patio, which features a gazebo and a dining area.

    The house is eco-friendly and environmentally conscious, as it is powered by solar energy. Therefore, the preferred operating hours for the air conditioning are from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 a.m.

What a fun experience we had at this property! The ocean is right out the door and it gave us a taste of real island neighborhood living. The host was on property and answered any questions we had quickly. Listening to the waves at night was relaxing and the golfcart going to and from the property was fun. It was a great place to start our Puerto Rican vacation!

I discovered the ultimate stay, what I would call healthy medicine for the brain and soul. It was even more relaxing than described. The host made the experience even better; it truly felt like a dream come true for a peaceful mini vacation. Waking up in the morning and listening to the waves was pure bliss. You feel away from everything, yet somehow everything is still at your fingertips. The room is beautifully designed, minimalist, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials. I honestly don’t want to go back home, I could live here for the rest of my life. This will be an unforgettable stay that I will cherish forever.

Where do I even start. the listing is completely inaccurate. Yes you are facing the sea, but it is covered with trash and seaweed and not a beach. Approaching the property, you go through a gate & thru a marina, with yachts stacked up high. Then you approach a checkpoint and ask them where to go. Down a dirt road is a parking lot. You then walk across a wonky bridge and were told there would be a waiting golf cart. There was not. We had to walk all of our stuff for about 10 minutes, passing dilapidated bungalows. From rich to poor. There were a few adults & kids in the rental’s yard. A man apologized for lack of golf cart when we told them. We were directed upstairs. Turns out the owner and his family live there. The people parties in the yard while we attempted to enjoy the balcony. The interior pics aren’t current. Someone’s shoes were by the bed and underneath the raised bed It was disgusting. The front of the fridge was disgusting. there was 1 plate, 3 mugs, 1 wine glass. That’s it. I messaged the owner and told him we had not expected to share our space with a family and had wanted privacy. Thankfully, they left shortly after and we didn’t see them again all evening.They returned once & a while during our stay. We would have left the 1st morning if this had not been the case. Chicken coop in backyard so there are loud cocka-doodle-dos ALL NIGHT & DAY. Amenities say GRILL. On the grill throughout our stay were fish remains. Also if you don’t like wind…
