I loved Ramon’s village! This was my fifth trip to Belize. Dining options were by far the best I’ve had from all my trips. Location amazing and conveniently close to a lot of things. Service was impeccable by all of the staff. I also loved the diving option at the end of the dock. Most places at shore are not swimmable due to small stingrays, seaweed etc. It was nice to not have to drive away and be able to walk and swim right there and let me tell you we seen lots just at the dock alone!! I could go on and on. I’ve enjoyed exploring different resorts each visit but I’d have to say I think I’ll be staying here from now on!

Wow! Ramon’s is a vacation in itself. You are immediately transported to a Tahitian style resort with beautiful, lush landscaping and beautiful water views. The staff was incredible! Everyone was pleasant and eager to assist you at all times. They make everything easy from excursions to golf cart rentals. The onsite restaurant has daily lunch and dinner specials in addition to their delicious regular menu options. This was wonderful vacation and I would highly recommend.

The room itself is really pretty with a great view. However there isn’t a TV, and there was water leaking from inside the walls even around the electrical outlets. There was also constant construction noise from the unit next to ours. The staff are constantly cleaning the grounds and doing their best to make it look great. Pretty much every staff member we encountered was awesome except the young women at the scuba rental hut. She was cold and unfriendly each time we encountered her. We were very surprised that the room did not have a television and they only serve beer and wine at the property. We were frustrated by this because we would have spent more time and money just at the resort itself if we could just kick back and enjoy the space with the other amenities. We were also surprised at the actual area around the resort. We actually probably won’t return to San Pedro because of it. The “downtown” area was dirty with horrible smells. The shop and restaurant hours are all over the place depending on when people feel like working and if they don’t feel like it they just don’t….people dump trash wherever they can find an empty space as well. From the pictures of San Pedro you would think it’s similar to Nassau Bahamas or maybe even parts of Hawaii but it definitely is not. And although the place was nice the level of dirt flying around, stink from old gas golf cart motors, and raw sewage it’s a downer. If I had to do it again I would have gone to another destination.

The restaurant staff has “tip fever” and needs serious basic training about customer service. Contrast, the staff at the coffee bar were exceptional-they “get it”. Focus on customer service and you’ll make more than your pre written tips. Examples: when seated at CLEAN table check with every customer regularly-i.e. more coffee, anything else we can get you, don’t be seen just playing with your colleagues. If the kitchen is backed up, tell the customers and give something free to nibble on. Great resort, but the restaurant service staff definitely damaged the Ramon’s Village brand in my eyes, and surely others too.

We are sorry for your experience at the restaraunt, as this is not common for the waitstaff. Management will be informed to insure the best possible guest experience.

I do not need a car! I went there for diving/snorkeling and fishing. I was picked at the dock every day! The people of San Pedro were so nice and welcoming. I felt very safe in town it was walkable everywhere. I would stay there again.

I and my husband stayed for 3 nights at Ramon’s and we loved it! The hotel is beautiful. It’s close to the airport and water taxi. The staff are polite and helpful. The beach and the pier in front the hotel are amazing.

Beautiful dive resort! The whole property was kept so well all the time. Diving sites were just 5 min away and also very convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. Beautiful sunrise and sunset (other side 10-15 min walk) to watch. We had few issues with the room but they took care of them promptly.

The floors were very sandy in the room. The staff make fun of the guests assuming guests don't speak Spanish. Greedy from the owners to the dive manager. For instance, only one rinse tank, no tank for cameras, no cleaner in the dunk tanks, stingy with giving out lockers. Piped in music throughout the resort, deceptive (seaside rooms are not seaside with a heavily filtered view of the ocean, thin walls and floors (expect to hear your neighbors), compact area with little privacy unless the curtains are closed. Bring a water filter or get bottled water. The resort does not provide any bottled water. They claim to use filtered water throughout the resort. The water tasted very chlorinated. Given the penny-pinching practices throughout the resort, I wouldn't trust that claim. Christian literature in the rooms including towel rack with Christian fish as rod brackets. The dive boats were clean, the dive master was very safety conscious in the water and food on an all-day dive outing was good. Boat crew herded divers into the water for quick 40 minute dives.

The grounds were kept extremely well at this resort. The beach was wonderful and quiet regardless of the amount of people that were there. It never felt overcrowded. Everyone was respectful of each other. The hammocks were also a nice plus. The pool area was in the shade when you needed some time out of the sun. The staff were beyond accommodating, as well as the friendliest staff I have encountered on my travels throughout. Every single person that worked here was beyond polite. They treated us with the utmost respect throughout the stay. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this resort. It is quiet yet close and walkable to most of the places in town. I would highly recommend this resort if you are considering staying here.

I thought this would be a nice place to stay but it really exceeded my expectations. We arrived at the ferry terminal and I had not pre-arranged transport nor asked about it. They were waiting with 2 golf carts - one for us and one for our luggage. The guy that checked us in was AMAZING. Such a great personality. I feel terrible that I can't remember his name but he was a delight. Everyone was so nice, helpful and authentic. My kids absolutely LOVED this place. The pool was lovely with the foliage all around it. We cannot wait to return!

Amazing place to stay! The diving and fishing is what they excel at. Rick runs an amazing dock and crew with all of the activities. The staff goes above and beyond and really makes you feel like family. The rooms and resort have the island charm that is our style and we loved it. Heading to the smoothie bar each morning is something I will greatly miss and the restaurant food is delicious-always go for the specials. Would highly recommend to everyone.

It’s so relaxing there, no tv makes you spend time doing nothing, beach was good but the water up to beach wasn’t pretty. But that’s not up to them. It was the best beach around there..the grounds are also the best around the area..would stay there again!

Loved the lush vegetation everywhere. The beach area is nice with maybe 15 cushioned lounge chairs. The location is an easy walk to many bars and restaurants. If you walk the road it its busy, especially in the morning with the airport being so close.
