“Nice property! As a solo traveler I would stay here again.”

“Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Like the gym and the breakfast that is better than comparable hotels (but still ”fat” and boring, by European standards…). I’d say this is the best choice in the ”roadside chain hotels”-category because of it’s cleanliness and modern feeling.”

“We were thrilled at the effort the Holiday Inn Express made to make the stay positive and unique. Bacon for breakfast, coffee machines that made each cup individually, and a very helpful staff were some of the added perks of staying here. Rooms were quite, comfortable, and well equipped.”

“The staff was very nice and professional.”

“The room was clean , except the furniture , chairs were stained and frayed . I didn’t sit on them . And there were only 2 towels and pillows were in poor condition. Also my room was on the first floor near the lobby and elevator . Noisy .”

“Staff upon checking in wasn't the best. Had to use the restroom prior to checking in and the bathroom was out of service. Lady at the front desk was cold and not very social. Room was okay at best. Floor was coming apart in places. Didn't get breakfast because flight left early. Best part was how close the hotel was to the airport (2 mins). I wouldn't stay there otherwise.”

A semi-circle of small buildings gathers around the main office, each building containing three or so cabin-like rooms. The inn is close enough to Hendersonville to be convenient, but far enough out of town to be quiet and to have an attractive woodsy setting. Parking is in front of each room. I would have rated this lodging higher were it not for a few disappointments. My room was not cramped, but...

“We had a room over the breakfast area and the pool which was noisy in the morning and a little strange having a window viewing the indoor pool.”

“A little worn out here and there but overall a great vibe with beautiful surroundings, and kind staff. Free modern laundry room was a big plus.”

“Good breakfast!”

“Everything was exactly as we imagined”

“Our family has been staying at the Highland Lake Inn for years. Each room, cabin, and home is unique, clean, and beautifully decorated. We stayed in a large cabin with very comfortable beds and a fireplace that warmed the room well. The shower had great water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the included full breakfast buffet is excellent. The property is relaxing and fun to explore. HLI will always be our first choice when staying in the...
