    LOCATION:



    There are plenty of attractions to keep all ages entertained long Sandown seafront. The Pier and glorious Sandown Bay are just a short walk down-hill from the property. Voted one of the island’s best beaches, so why not stretch your legs along the miles of golden sand or swim in the cooling water of the English Channel. The nine-mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. On a lucky day, the remains of fossils can also be found! If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.

    A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats. The sanctuary, formerly the Isle of Wight Zoo, gained further recognition due to the owner’s relationship with the naturalist and TV presenter Chris Packman. Additionally, a perfect distraction for the younger guests is Sandham Gardens, which is only minutes’ walk from the esplanade. With karting, sky nets, crazy golf and a dedicated play area on offer there should be plenty to ensure a good night’s sleep at the end of the day!

    PLEASE NOTE:



    Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £50 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £350 before check-in.

    If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure.



    There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.

This is a fantastic holiday property and was extremely well equipped with everything our family needed. A generous supply of towels and consumables were provided, and the property had a look and feel of being new. Checking in and out was very easy, and the overall experience exceeded our high expectations, based on earlier reviews. Even the weather was fantastic! Can’t think of anything.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at Seagrass. The house is excellent. The soft furnishings are truly wonderful, comfortable beds, lovely fabrics and all so clean and new. High quality throughout. The welcome pack was a complete surprise and provided us with breakfast every morning and some jam sandwich lunches too! Thank you. Beautiful view from the balcony. Was an excellent base to travel from. Check in and out was easy.

Seagrass, Sandown

We spent 5 days in this property which was in an ideal location within 5 minutes of the seafront and beaches.. The place was immaculate when we arrived and we found the kitchen extremely well appointed. The property has a sunny terrace and a garden as well as a balcony on the top floor to complement a first class ensuite master bedroom. Also we were blessed with perfect weather that week which meant we could happily walk, swim and tour around the island till early evening. Thank you to David, the owner of this ideal property. In the top bathroom, a small corner shelf of some kind could be added to place the shower gel or shampoo bottle while using the shower. In the kitchen a kitchen knife with a pointed end would be a great addition to the small wide knife (with white cover) which cuts very well but has a rounded end. Difficult for instance to remove strawberry leaves ....! Anyway, well done all around.
