Thanks for staying with us and sorry about the problems with noise Shilu. We are right downtown, kind of in the middle of things. The weekdays are generally very quiet here and some weekends can be as well, but it was unfortunately Spring Break the weekend you stayed with us. Some guests go out when the town is pumping and they come back late to their rooms and don't seem to mind - or even like it the activity. But I can understand you wanting peace and quiet. Since you basically liked our hotel, we would love to welcome you come back when it's quiet here! Weekdays are so different here. On weekends, given your preferences, I'd recommend staying by the waterfront as they hotels and motels are quiet at night. Wish you the best in your current travels.

Hi Allison. Thanks for sharing your experience. We definitely always want to learn and implement changes to be better. The wifi usually works very, very well. We are certainly spending a lot of money with Cox Cable! Honestly, we do have their premium level of service for hotels. I think it must have been a system wide failure that day. Glad you enjoyed all our fun areas and nearby attractions. The keyless entry is perfected at this point. We were switching over to it earlier in the month. It will allow us to give our guests very competitive room rates and keep them affordable. But we still want to offer good service and we certainly expect staff to be super helpful and professional. Definitely will take your comments to heart and pass them along

Hi - We understand your frustration of showing up and having this experience. We offer an early check in program, explained in our outgoing correspondence to guests, for various reasons. Some people come to Santa Barbara for weddings or events and they want to get into their room early. So we have created and organized an early check in system where guests can pay and be assured early access. This does create a very real annoyance for some guests who show up early and would like to check in. The reason we do not simply waive the fee is because others have paid for this service and we do not think it's fair to just let others get the same service for free. But we do understand that this can look or feel bad to our guests, and we do regret this. We do review our policies from time to time and try to figure out how to do better. Sorry to hear about the bed. Most people think they are comfortable and they are eco friendly as well. If we knew which room # you stayed, we could double check it. Free feel to call the hotel anytime.

Thanks Trish for letting us know about your experience. We would love to know more about your negative experience with staff. If you feel inclined, please call us and ask for the manager, Bris. Or email. We are always trying to improve and address any issues. The ADA room is the one room that does not have an in-room fridge. It's due to the ADA tolerance requirements of this room. We will see if we can change the amenity list specifically for this room, but I'm not sure it is I possible. We do have a lobby fridge that is available for guests at any time for any reason.

Hi Nikki,Thanks for your review. Glad you enjoyed our hotel. Sorry to hear about the issue with your toiletries. Most rooms have counter space, hooks, etc. The ADA room is a bit challenged for shelf space because of clearances needed for wheelchairs. We will look into which room you stayed in and try to make it better. And who knows, we may have a small pool one day! Everything is always being considered :)

Hi Rajan, thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed the hotel. You definitely should not be charged 2x for the 8.99 use fee, which is for all the amenities in the extensive common areas. We will go over this on Monday. If we made this error we apologize - and will make it right.

Wow! Thanks for your thorough review Kim. I think you are very observant to notice all these little things in and about the hotel :) Sometimes we did them with forethought, other times we were simply solving a problem, or thought of them on a whim. It's a fun project and it keeps evolving. I think you will probably notice even more things when you hopefully return. Who knows, someday we may have a pool or jacuzzi for you!

Hi Allie. Thanks for your review and very positive comments about our hotel! We certainly try to deliver a great experience for our guests. Weekdays are very reasonably priced so you probably stayed over a weekend which, in summer, can be pricier. I can assure you that we are always very fairly priced compared to other hotels in our area and even when a weekend is very busy, due to a large event for instance, we do not simply keep raising our prices but keep a lid on it and just sell out early. We try to be conscious of being fair at all times and think about our rates and what they should reflect. There are many factors. SB is a very expensive area to operate in and all our staff are based in Santa Barbara and the rents are crazy. Glad you enjoyed the locally sourced goods for breakfast. We try to treat our guests as if we ourselves we staying at The Haley! Thanks for staying with us. If you can come on a weekday we can help you lower the costs of staying here significantly.
