“This was a neat place to stay. I wish I would’ve had more time to play golf. Our room was ok. There were a ton of ants and gecko’s in our room which is to be expected building anything in a warm climate. The only complaint, which was not the fault of the resort was the power went out and our room became absolutely stifling. There were no cross windows to open and no fan on a back up power source or even a battery fan in case of emergency which would’ve helped considerably. Overall our stay was...

“The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. “The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone.”
