Welcome to Fenix Azul, your next romantic getaway, friends retreat, or family adventure with stargazing in the heart of the high desert. Soak up the private views from every window and enjoy BBQing from the deck while watching the sunset, then sit back and marvel at the stars and Milky Way. If you appreciate dark skies, this is the place for you! Imagine yourself relaxing and drinking your favorite beverage after shopping Canyon Road, and hiking the spectacular trails around Santa Fe. This charming 1700 sq.ft home is tastefully designed to give you a true Santa Fe experience with old school brick floors, two inviting kiva fireplaces (flameless candles only) and traditional viga ceilings. Come and enjoy numerous furnishings collected from nearby Santa Fe that deliver a New Mexico vibe. Newly landscaped yard and heating and cooling, freshly renovated kitchen and bathroom all make this property a pleasurable vacation experience. Fenix Azul has two living areas, each with their own candlelit fireplace. There's two master bedrooms (very firm queen/medium firm king) that share a bathroom and both have a private patio. An additional hallway bathroom is next to the third bedroom (soft queen). The three beds offer versatility for sleepers. There's also two single airbeds available. This gem sits on over an acre of land with large juniper trees protecting your privacy and offering a sanctuary for wildlife. There's plenty of hiking/running trails nearby as well as bike paths that travel throughout the community. The Rails To Trails runs right through Eldorado, going from the cute little town of Lamy all the way to Santa Fe. Galisteo Basin Preserve offers great hiking and is only a short drive. It's approximately a 25 minute drive to Santa Fe Plaza and 54 minutes to Ski Santa Fe.
The kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary tools to cook your favorite meal or perhaps try a local recipe from one of our cookbooks. The kitchen was renovated in 2020 and has all new stainless steel appliances and custom cabinets.
The whole house is yours except the detached garage. There is a large circle driveway so there's parking available up to four vehicles.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay here. We found everything comfortable and clean. Cute little kitchen/sitting area with lovely views out the big windows. Didnt use the outside deck because it was too cold but it looked very inviting. Instructions were clear and good communication with the host. A great stay. Thank you!

Great place outside of town with privacy and great views. We enjoyed a relaxing stay and would return again. Host was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Appreciate the comfortable and sufficient accommodations for our multiple day stay. We enjoyed nearby attractions but made sure to have time to rest on site.

Adorable, beautiful, clean

Well stocked, thoughtful amenities, comfortable beds. The scenery and landscaping were beautiful. We could see stars forever, and Milky Way was perfectly clear in the pitch dark night sky. The host made things easy as well. Most importantly, it was clean!!!

A fun encouraging stay for the weekend.

It was a pleasant couple of days in the peaceful Phoenix Azul house. We love sitting on the patio at night and enjoying the mountains in the distance with the sun going down. The back living room also gives us a chance to drink coffee and play games while having the scenic outdoors in view from the big windows. Everything is kept well and neat in this place. A great retreat-type setting. We will be back.

Excellent, convenient, clean

This was my second time at the property, and it was excellent yet again. We love the location. It's convenient to get to downtown Santa Fe, but also feels like its own quiet space out of the way of the bustle. Catherine is an excellent host, and very easy to get in touch with. We hope to be back again.

Took a family ski trip and enjoyed our stay. Property was well organized and very clean. Great view of the mountains from multiple rooms. About an hour drive to ski Santa Fe, but worth it to stay somewhat out of town.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view. The house was decorated beautifully and so comfortable. My only suggestion is that the room next to the kitchen needs shades on the windows to keep the room cooler. But overall loved everything about the house❤️

I have rented properties from Monterey, CA to Madrid, Spain and i can honestly rank Fenix Azul at the top. Cassandra's a wonderful and responsive host. The property is beautifully appointed, spacious, and we'll maintained. I will always book Fenix Azul for my Santa Fe trips.

Quiet and beautiful

We loved the quiet neighborhood and the view of the mountains. Without street lights at night it felt like we were out in the country. It was still close enough for us to go into Santa Fe several times and we enjoyed hiking close by.
