  • Nestled just steps away from the Gulf of Mexico on Scenic 30A in Dune Allen Beach, "Wave Whisperer" boasts captivating views of Oyster Lake, a rare coastal dune lake, offering exceptional value along 30A. Only 50 yards from a small beach access and in close proximity to the Dune Allen Regional access, this pet-friendly home with a maximum 2-dog rule is a haven for families seeking an affordable yet splendid 30A vacation. Enjoy the convenience of the heated community pool, positioned next to Oyster Lake, and relish easy access to Scenic 30A's renowned bike and walking path.
    The bottom floor features a renovated fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and two bedrooms. The primary bedroom offers a king bed and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, while the second bedroom includes a queen bed and custom-built twin bunks. The guest bath features a tub/shower combo.
    On the second floor, a spacious living area awaits, boasting two seating areas, including a large sectional couch. An additional refrigerator with an ice-maker enhances convenience, accompanied by a sink and microwave for easy snacking. The primary bedroom on this level presents a king bed and en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom features a queen bed and custom-built adult-sized twin bunks, with the guest bath offering a tub/shower combo. Recently remodeled, all four bathrooms showcase updated features, complemented by new flooring throughout the entire home as of January 2023. Please note that "Wave Whisperer" is a non-smoking rental.

The property was very clean, and my family of 10 slept comfortably. The only concern was that the downstairs dryer was not working, and we had to carry clothes upstairs to wash (probably already fixed by now). Great location for fishing and beach time without having to drive. Will definitely love to go back!

The rental was supplied with everything we would need. It was clean and looked like new. We had an awesome time and were close to good restaurants, shops, the beach and a lot of the small towns. I hope we can get back one day. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this VRBO highly!

Excellent location on 30A! Great setup with easy access to the beach. Crossing areas are very well marked and traffic is aware of beach-goers. The house had plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. The pool next door is a great bonus. The grandkids also enjoyed fishing in Lake Oyster. The house is well equipped with several Keurig machines so don’t forget k-cups (no drip coffee maker). We also appreciated having a washer/dryer on both levels. Overall, very comfortable setup, great location with lots to do.

Small Beach House

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean enough, and next to the pool which was a plus. It was small for our group (3 adults and kids aged 6, 6, 3, and 1). We were glad to have the extra bedroom empty just to use to put our things in. There is no garage like the description said and parking was not good at all. Beach access across the street was close and good enough except for the "private" areas we had to walk around. We enjoyed the upper porch and the extra refrigerator.

We had a great stay, and the atmosphere was perfect for our summer beach getaway. Sunsets were gorgeous. We definitely appreciated the proximity to the beach access, and being close to the lake as well. We took advantage of the onsite beach chairs and body boards, though missed the beach cart. Well equipped kitchen when it came to the essentials and very clean. Would stay here again!

Annual Beach Trip

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was easy to find and in a nice location one block from beach with community pool right next door. We absolutely loved the upstairs deck and spent a lot of time there. The house itself was nice but a few things were confusing like the downstairs dryer did not work but the upstairs one did and the toilet in downstairs master was hard to flush due to flush handle nut being missing and the shower door handle was loose.. throughout the house the walls had patches that were not painted. Side entry door did not have the same code as front door so we had to be careful not to get locked out.

Great experience

I highly recommend this house. We had a large group and it was perfect for all of us. Beach access was wonderful and the kids enjoyed the heated pool. The golf cart that we rented was a big hit with our grandchildren. Plenty of places to walk your dog and any questions we had was answered promptly. One of our most enjoyable stays!

Perfect 2-Family Accommodations

First, this place was PERFECT for our trip. Amazing location, the pool right next door was not too loud, and waking distance to beach was great. However, public access beaches are VERY limited on space, and the locals are adamant you stay off "their sand". We had a minor run-in, but were not in the wrong, so it didn't amount to anything, but it was inconvenient and crammed in the very limited public access areas.

The layout of this house is awesome bc there’s two master bedrooms and two guest bedroom with a queen and bunk beds. Loved the upstairs living room and everything was nice and clean. Rental company was easy to work with. Thanks again!

Loved it!

This cute beach home looks just like the pictures. There was plenty of room for our 4 kids ages 12-16 and 4 adults. Beach access is very convenient...right across the street. We loved having the pool right outside. The house was clean, both kitchens were well stocked, beds were comfortable and towels were plush. We would definitely come back!

Perfect for ladies get-away

Four adult women went to the 30A Songwriters Festival and this was a great place for us to stay. It was great for each lady to have a bedroom and private bath. The downstairs kitchen was where we gathered and ate (though there was an upstairs kitchen too…!). The house was clean and well-equipped. The view of Oyster Lake was lovely. Will definitely consider for a future trip. Thanks!!

Comfortable house

The house was exactly what was described. It was very comfortable and felt homey. The beds were comfortable. One of the showers on the second floor has the issue of water coming out in the bathroom that we were drying after each shower. My only disappointment was the condition of backyard. The patio set was very old and cushions were moldy. We were planning to use the BBQ but we never did as it was not really necessary ce to sit back there.

Beautiful home on 30A

Great location and house is as advertised. Close to pool and fun fish watching in the next door lake. The upper deck is perfect at night and absolutely stunning sunsets. Only issue is the beach access across the street is EXTREMELY limited with security guards huddling everyone is a very small area of the beach while the rest is marked private. The public beach is fairly far with an infant and crowded. The private beach guards really ruined a lot of vacation for people in all the houses around us. It does list this in the details but 2 yrs ago we stayed nearby with no issues so it was a surprise. Totally not the owners fault but a huge drawback for family’s just wanting beach time.
