âLarge, comfortable rooms, nicely decorated. Very good restaurant on site. Excellent breakfast. Located on a popular street in Quito. The staff is very attentive. Hugo, the hotelâs security guard, was especially helpful. We highly recommend and will definitely return to this hotel. â

âA fine and warmly family operated old building tastefully updated to meet the needs of travelers visiting the area. And just an easy block and a half walk from the Plaza Grande; what more could you ask for? looking hard to find something to fault, the only thing I can think of is that the showerhead was a little difficult to reach in order to direct the flow of water. I hope that Lucia and her son Luis will be there to welcome me when I next visit their fair city.â
âAbsolutely excellent! The hotel is located with a fantastic view, giving you an almost unreal overlook over the city. Quito is located 2850meter above sea level which gives this place a surreal âhigh up in the mountains â feel. David at the reception is fantastic, flawless English and always happy to help. We had a driver / guide by the name of Rene. Fantastic person and knowledgeable guide. We explored the historical center by foot one day and went to Mindo the cloud forest the other. Never...

âThis hotel really deserves its name, Friends. i canât remember the last time when I felt so welcomed. The reception is very helpful. i inmediately felt st home. There are some nice common areas if you donât want to be in your room. i loved the rocking chair outside my room. Breakfast was good too, with fresh fruit, juice, eggs, toast and coffee/too. Only minus is some street noice in the morning.â
âAll the staff were exceptional. Breakfast was limited but okay. I requested a room with a view, but didnât realize it was 6 floors upâwith no elevator! Do I asked for a lower-level room and got one on the third floor. The next night I moved to a lower floor, however, it was very noisy. Good thing I had my ear plugs. The location is fantastic!â
