The location for the view of caldera especially the sunset is unbeatable. However, the amenities are the minimum or even shabby to an international standard. So, for a stay of one or two nights it could be manageable but any where longer can be hard.

Best Santorini sunset view

The best spot in Santorini to view the sunset. We loved our stay in our little self-contained cave unit. Nice touches from the team who were great with communication and assisted us with our bags pre/post our stay. We can't wait to come again!

Delightful stay

Our Sophia Castle stay was wonderful, easy to reserve. Chrysovalandis was an amazing host, he picked us up, took us to the place, provided plenty of information as to what to do and where to go. He was very attentive. Everyone that worked at Sophia was very helpful.

Priceless Views

Amazing small hotel with the best views and little private balcony to watch the amazing sunset. Many tourists rush to get to this part of town to see the sunset and cram through the little walkways. I just had to go out on my balcony…with a free bottle of wine from the hotel and catch the amazing sunset from my balcony

Loved the location. It was everything I'd imagined... From the ocean view to the sunset to the hot tub overlooking the water. Room was beautiful, comfortable and the staff tidied up each morning. Plenty of restaurants, shops and more. Communication with property manager was amazing and loved how easy it was to have them assist in securing transportation. Perfection all the way around.

Our unit was right off the main pedestrian path so it was a bit odd to be relaxing in our plunge pool with a bunch of tourists walking down to peek in; it's Santorini so we expected business but it was crazy the amount of people who tried to come down a private path. Better signage would have been nice. The AC didn't actually work, it was technically a fan for the most part. Check in and check out were horrible, we messaged with the hotel a week before check in and never got a response. The morning of check in, they finally messaged us and told us they would arrange pick up at the ferry so we didn't need to worry about it. We waited for almost an hour and no one showed up, we messaged them and got no response some just grabbed a taxi. Our taxi driver called the property for us since they weren't responding to our messages or phone calls. Seems the company is based out of Athens so they don't monitor their emails or phone calls. He guided us to a local number and was finally able to get through and was told that someone would meet us at the pick up point but no one showed up so we walked there ourselves and had to call to see where they were. Check out was just as bad, our prescheduled transportation didn't show up, we had to manage it ourselves.

Beautiful views!

The location was amazing to watch sunset. I went before busy season. Walk was t too bad. You cannot reach the room by car- so you need porter or need to carry bags a little always. Very clean- shower doesn’t have a door- so bathroom floor was a little wet . I struggled mostly with communication- because there isn’t a front desk so hard to ask for replacement items. But overall very happy with it!

VALANDIS was an excellent host, very nice, polite, professional, informative person!!!!! He was quick to respond to our questions and was promptly willing and available when we called for him on whatsapp. The location of the place is beautiful for the sunset and amazing view of Oia. This place is great for walking distance to all the famous spots to visit in Oia. The walking is very easy and doable compared to other difficult locations in Oia due to the walking distance. If you are looking for a great location in Oia, this is the place to be. Some reviews say it's not quiet, but it actually is very quiet and safe. Anywhere in Oia or Santorini is busy during the sunset because that's what people come here for. So if you want to come for the good Oia experience, come to THIS LOCATION. Valandis will treat you like family.

This is the worst places I have ever stayed at! The pool was Yellowstone and dirt The place smelled really bad There was moisture/black in the shower There is a home in the kitchen Wall They didn’t replaced the towels the 2nd Day We had a cucaracha of at least 10 cm in our room at 10pm and the host was indifferent We left the place with to reimbusrment AVOID THIS PLACE

Stunning views in the middle of the chaos

The place is amazingly nice, clean and with a lot of space. However outside is very noisy, chaotic and difficult to get there (specially with the luggage). The communication with the host was difficult at the beginning (he was "joking" about charging us for the internet or other things and we didn't follow his jokes, was uncomfortable and a bit unwelcoming), but afterwards he was pending and online.

I highly recommend Sophia Castle View! The accommodation was so clean and nice with a great location. We especially enjoyed the pool. Athanasios and his staff were also extremely helpful. He helped booked us a transfer from the airport and to the ferry port. He also provided recommendations for restaurants in Oia. Top notch customer service. Would stay here again.

Amazing Stay

The hotel was amazing, the view is spectacular and the room was very nice and clean. Not to forget how friendly and helpful the host was. Transferring the luggage is a hassle but they took care of it. The hot tub was beautiful and the water temperatures was right for the weather. The location of the room was very close to the sunset view and we didn't have to leave our balcony to see it. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We really enjoyed our time at Sophia Castle View Caldera View suite. It is one of the few, if only place on Oia where you can view the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The views are simply amazing, and this suite really showcased them. Breakfast for 2 is delivered to the room in the morning, and covered us for lunch most days. This place is amazing, and worth checking out!

Most romantic suite in Oia: santorini.

As soon as I walked into the room: I was in love. This place was very clean. The view from the place was spectacular. If staying at oia, this place checks all the boxes. Bathroom and kitchenette was very cute as well. Kitchenette has utensils and sink. Bathroom has a shower with an open closet to hand clothes. The place also came with a safe, iron and ironing board.
