“nice rural location but worn down. the petting zoo does not compensate. weird signs on every wall givning restrictions on all and nothing. and at the same time pricy. just odd. complimenrs to the breakfast-ladies - they do the best they can with whats offered.”

“Great location and excellent facilities! We had booked a room through hotels.com but something had appearantly gone wrong 'cos when we got there we were told that there wasn't a reservation!! The staff handled it well though and we were put in a small room the first night and a better one the following day. The only downside was, beside the reservation issue, the dinners which were a bit dull. It was ok but nothing to write home about, could be improved. Good breakfast though! All in all, highly...

“We went a little off-season and not many were there. The place is located in the countryside with lovely surroundings. The inital plan was to go into the little town of Cercal for dinner in elthe evening, but we changed our plans and stayed for dinner at Matinha instead. That was a good decision... the food was very nice and typical rustic traditional Portuguese food. Loved it. Everyone was super helpful and serviceminded. It was a great stay.”

“Stunning vista in the middle of the Portuguese countryside, featuring an infinity pool, with lots of space. It is in a very remote area with no public services, facilities or buildings for miles. Classy decor and staff and great value for money. The staff are just wonderful, so delightfully friendly and warm”
