Sea to Summit Retreat

Summary:

We designed this house with winter in mind. Heating in every room so you stay warm after a full day outside, a covered garage so you’re not digging your car out every morning, and plenty of space to come back, stretch out and relax.



The tatami room is one of our favorite spaces in the house. It’s a place to slow down, rest, stretch or just hang out after skiing. We also added multiple showers because realistically, if you’re coming to Otaru in winter, you’re probably coming with a crew :)



We designed this house for ourselves, with the idea of bringing friends here and showing them the side of Japan we love. Comfortable, simple, practical and easy to enjoy as a group.



You’ve got easy access to downtown Otaru for sushi, izakayas, the canal and everything else the city has to offer, while still being well positioned for the ski resorts around the area.



We hope you guys enjoy the house as much as we do.



The Space:

4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms make this the perfect setup for a bigger crew coming to explore Otaru in winter or summer.



Comfy beds, extra pillows and plenty of space to spread out make it an easy place to come back to after a full day outside. Whether you’re skiing, exploring the coast, walking around downtown or just taking in Hokkaido, we wanted the house to feel clean, comfortable and simple.



A place where everyone has room, everyone can relax, and you’ve got a solid home base for exploring Otaru together.

DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THE ONLY PARKING AT OUR HOUSE IS IN THE GARAGE.
