The pool pump outdoor outlet had to be reset due to the storm the night before. We also would like to thank our back office and extremely reliable maintenance, plumbing and electrical staff for fixing issues in the shortest time possible. Thank you for staying with us and hope to have you back. Just to clarify for future guests, the villa is located exactly 1.1 miles away from Siesta Key. As soon as you get on the island, the very first beach available to the public is Crescent Beach amd it's less than 200 yards to get to. Siesta Key Public beach is located a little further north on the island, about 1.8 miles or 6 minutes roughly. Walking to Siesta Key takes about 20 minutes and less than 5 minutes by car. Siesta Key Public beach is 10-12 minutes by car on normal traffic conditions. I guess it depends on everyones' perception about distance and what people define as "near" or "far". At any rate, the villa provides a ton ambiance and relaxation in the back yard by the pool, and some guests spend very little time out on the beach, especially when the beach is super crowded. Last but not least, there are free taxis that would come and pick up guests from the villa and drop them off anywhere on the island (tips would be welcome).

Makes me really sad to be a witness of such an ill intended guest. A prime example of a fully fabricated story over pool heating fees ($75 as we waived the first 2 nights plus we waived one of the pet fees too). Most of it I'd attribute to sheer ignorance and anger issues. The owner is typing this response by the way. We like to take reviews and learn from our mistakes. We've never experienced, well, not until now, in the last few years we've been with Ven as a property manager, such an ungrateful & malicious guest. Ven has an absolutely impeccable reputation and every owner his company manages properties for will say the same exact thing. Please read other reviews here and you'll see what guests think of Ven and his operation. Before making any claims or accusations, I'd suggest to read the property description where we list not once but twice the real estate arrangement, the side apartment, etc (something this guest obviously ommited to do). And yes, the villa guests rent ISN'T shared with anyone, none of it, not the bedrooms, not the bathrooms, not the driveway, not the front yard, not the back yard, not the pool or spa. Ven likes to check on guest at check in, after the first night and periodically depending on the length of the stay to make sure guests are content with their stay. He showed me text messages showing this guest was perfectly happy at check in, which Ven actually let them check in earlier than scheduled upon request. After not replying or acknowledging his text and call the next day, he decided to stop by. He knocked on the door and consequently the guest let him im. He offered a complementary bottle of wine and directions to a dog park upon guest request and left. Management companies rely on great communication with their guests, which in this case and the lack of communication called for a quick visit, which almost never happens, especially through Covid, for safety purposes, as well as guests do call or reply back via text at some point (people have manners). The real reason why this guest wrote this totally fabricated review - their unwillingness to pay the additional $25/night for pool/spa heater fees, which we charge during the winter. We mention it as a separate fee apart form VRBO charges in the listing on a few occasions. Ven simply offered to send an invoice or leave cash, up to guest (guest still has not paid it, shame) No scam, no lies, nothing to be cautious about. Please book with confidence and expect a fabulous stay!
