Beautiful property, quiet, staff was good. Not a lot of parking though, and wish we’d known that the beach would be closed when we booked. Besides that, 5 stars.

Clean and charming hotel with very convenient checking in and out system. Noise from adjacent road and restaurant lower floor may bother sensitive traveler. Food and the service at the restaurant is excellent!

I had a nice stay at The Nest tis weekend. I have stayed there before and love the location while visiting my son at Skidmore. It is a nice drive along the lake to Saratoga. I liked staying on the top floor better than the first floor. The staff was great but it was very quiet during the day. The mattress was so comfortable too. I have not eaten at the restaurant but the food looked good. On Friday night they had a great band (Pasta and Potatoes) so that was an unexpected treat to come home to. The band played until about 9:30. The bar staff were so friendly and welcoming. I definitely will make this my regular stay when visiting my son.

The check-in process really needs some work, and it would not take much. First, I did not receive any check-in details from the property ahead of my stay, and when we arrived, I just went to the restaurant to ask since that's what I'd seen (in the reviews) that others had done. Luckily we didn't show up after hours, because I honestly don't think we would have been able to access our room. Second, there should really be a simple sheet of paper in the guest rooms with basics like the WiFi info, where to find the mini fridge (there is NOT one in the rooms), and how to get into the building after hours. My husband had to go out to our car for something early this morning and luckily I stayed inside, or yet again, we would have been locked out (the code for our room was not the same as the code for the exterior door after hours). There is no front desk person on site as far as we could tell and while the restaurant team is helpful, it's clear this is not their job. Other than the above negatives, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and in general our stay was adequate. I just probably won't be back and wouldn't feel right recommending this place to others, which is a shame - it's a cute spot and could be so much better if the ownership just paid SLIGHTLY more attention to the guest experience.

The walls are very thin. I got to hear the couple next to us having sex all night with the bed banging and the girl screaming. Not appropriate when I had my thirteen year old son with me.

There was no heat in the room. Just a portable oil heater. Woke up it was very cold. Couldn't get hot water in the shower. Wasted so many gallons waiting. Noticed later on the top of the showe r, tiny sign, let rin 5 minutes. Not a place if you go to bed before 3. Loud bar below! Im mever going baxk.

This was a lovely room. I recieved checking instructions a few days before my stay. Check in was quick and easy. The room was very nice with a view of the lake.

The shower in the Josephine room is awkward. Its wide corner shower but its narrow. The head points at the wall. Instead of at you. You need to hold it by hand to rinse. The water pressure is good.

Quaint lovely room with a beautiful view of the lake! The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was so cozy. We love the decor of the room, Lady of the Lake, very tranquil. The bar music was able to be heard but did not bother us a bit. Everything was well maintained and the coffee nook upstairs was a nice addition. The water for the shower could be hotter but would definitely stay there again!!!!! Thanks!!

This property is gorgeous! It consists of an Inn with 7 rooms, a restaurant/bar, and a beach. The decor is charming with a beach motif. There is plenty of parking, with reserved spaces for guests of the Inn. We were there in January, but the rooms were centrally heated with an extra electric heater in the room. The bed was incredibly soft, and the 6 pillows and comforter (described as plush on the website) were amazing! Dock Brown's - the attached restaurant - was so inviting with a gas fire and live music. There is a coffee/tea station on the 2nd floor. It also had cereal bars, a Keurig, a microwave, and a mini refrigerator. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make us comfortable. There are 2 things to be aware of... When you book through Expedia, the automated email with your entrance codes does not come through. The restaurant manager had to call the Innkeeper (who was off-site) to get the codes. Also, I underestimated the warning on the website about the fact that there was no elevator. My husband and I are disabled and couldn't climb the steep staircase with his heavy oxygen machine. The restaurant manager called the Innkeeper back and got us moved to a downstairs room. Both the restaurant manager and the Innkeeper were incredibly responsive. What could have been a disaster was turned into a blessing. My husband was so excited that he was now across the hall from the bar lol! So, note that High Peaks and Josephine are the only downstairs rooms...

We stayed there one night to brake our long drive to skiing center in Adirondack park. We like this hotel all what we needed was there…bonus is the restaurant below just walk down from your room very convenient.

Very cute spot - I imagine even better in the summer! Room (beachside bungalow) was a little small, but very comfortable. You can hear the live music from downstairs, but it ended promptly at 9:30 every night - so we didn't mind at all. Lots of hiking and nature nearby. Very easy check in and out with keypads to get in/out. We'd stay again!

This cute small boutique inn is located on Saratoga Lake. It is a short drive to downtown Saratoga and is adjoining Dock Browns an upscale restaurant with great food. The Nest is clean and each room beautifully decorated differently. Lady of the Lake is my favorite room.

Everything is dusty like over one year without cleaning, microwave dusty and not working, under the bed tons on dust and the sealing full of dust, On top of the refrigerator also full of dust, plus the music in the restaurant very loud we couldn’t sleep well, uncomfortable bed to sleep on. It was very inconvenient sorry to say that. I usually don’t write reviews but this time I have to. I’m sorry owner but it’s not nice to let people styling in a dirty place like that.

Don’t be misled by a nice website
This was advertised as a resort but it was simply a restaurant with 7 rooms in the back. There is no where to sit outside or gather indoors except for the restaurant which was locked up and closed. We had to drive to get breakfast. This was our summer destination and it bombed.

We stayed in the “high peaks” for two nights. The good: scenic lake view & beach within feet of property. The bad: very small room, no innkeeper on site for any needs or questions which made us feel on our own for anything we needed. But the worst of it all is how noisy our surroundings were. Maybe it’s an older building but, we kept being disrupted by all the noise in the room upstairs and outside in the hall (the property is connected to a restaurant). You could hear everything in the surrounding rooms (ex: people showering and walking) and we did not sleep well because of this. Overall, the rooms were well kept and clean but the complaints listed above outweighed anything good about the property.

Please get a better microwave. I liked this property very much. However, before I came, it took me a lot of phone calls & emails to learn important facts & prepare to check in. The interface with the public can be improved. Among the best: a restaurant is right on site.

They have live music next door in an open tent. They started the sound check at 5 and didn’t stop until 10:15. While it wasn’t unreasonably late, it really took away from enjoying the beach and having some peace. We specifically picked lodging AWAY from downtown to have some quiet and this did not deliver. Wish we had known.
