Golf carts, scooters, bikes or tuk-tuks are commonly rented by guests to travel around the town. Interbus shuttle picks up from the Java coffee shop nearby and they provide shuttle service to many Costa Rican destinations including to Nicaragua.
The Pulmitan bus picks up from downtown Playas del Coco and has many destinations around Costa Rica for a reasonable price.
