Waterfront cabin located on Sugar Island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. No need for a boat to travel to the island. Sugar has a year round ferry called the Sugar Islander II. For a small fee you drive right on the car ferry and five miles to our waterfront cabin. The cabin is a two bedroom one bath which offers a cozy retreat for our guests. Air conditioning and a wood pellet stove for the cooler nights. Fully stock kitchen with what you would need coffee maker, crockpot, pans. Culligan jugged water onsite. One queen bedroom, two full beds in second room and a sofa bed. Bath towels and bedding are included and are hot washed.This cabin has a wonderful screened in porch. (needed some nights) Property faces West to see the sunsets over the St. Mary's River. There is a sandy beach with a 100' dock that has a large sitting area for laying out or relaxing. Plenty of beach toys for the kids, also have few kayaks and canoes. There is a fire ring with sitting area for roasting marshmallows beach side. The grounds are well taken care of. This property is over 150 acres with a commercial maple syrup operation that guests can explore. The main shipping channel goes past so you’ll be able to see the thousand foot iron ore freighters going by. Plenty of wildlife from loons to Eagles, deer, moose, fox and the fishing is good. Pike, Walleye, Perch, Smallmouth, Atlantic salmon. Boat launch quarter mile from cabin. Guest have access to dock during the summer. The grounds offer private setting with a blueberry patch, grape veins, a garden with apple trees that guest can explore. Plenty of parking for a boat or extra vehicles.
