This is the first time we've tried to do a family vacation using a VRBO, so I'll share what we liked and didn't. When we got there late the first evening, it took some time to get the keys out - probably my inexperience with the lock box and the poor lighting in the doorway. When we got in, the apartment was hot, and it took a bit of time for the HVAC system to cool the place down - the fans provided were helpful. It would have been nice if it was already pre-cooled. The location was excellent, and we were able to hit many attractions from there easily. The appliances all worked well and were used. In the master bedroom, there was a repaired spot on the ceiling that was slightly wet - it appears as though there's a leak coming from the floor above that's not been properly fixed. The rental does have a musty smell, which bothered me a bit, as the smell got stuck in my CPAP. Parking was easy (street parking), but I had to be up before 8am to "put time on the meter" using the Savannah parking app. The master bed was comfortable. The bunk bed was a bit rickety, and had cracked steps and one that had been replaced by a 2x4. The place was a bit small, but functional to meet our needs.

Walking distance to River Street. Very cute apartment. The check in process was a nightmare. I got the keys out of the lockbox with no problem, and assumed the 2 keys were 1 for each guest. The check-in instructions did not mention that there are 2 doors to open: 1 to get into the building and the 2nd to open the apartment up stairs, nor was I given an apartment number. I grabbed a key and attempted to get, but the key would not work. I called the mgmt company and they also did not seem to know that there were 2 doors to unlock. I left to find a bathroom and when I came back, I tried a key again and it opened. That's when I found out that there was a second door....the two keys weren't for 2 guest, they were for 2 doors and I had picked the wrong key on my first attempt. There should be much, much better instructions like: there are two doors, the keys should be marked, apt#, etc. The management company needs to come to the apartment and walk through like a guest and write instructions accordingly.We didn't want to watch a lot of tv, but we did want to watch the Kentucky Derby, but were unable to because non of the 5 remotes would turn on the tv. Again, simple instructions kept by the tv and extra batteries.Also, the cleanliness score is not great, because we saw several large roaches -palmetto bugs while we were there which was just gross...the apartment was clean and cute, but you need to invest in an exterminator because that left a very bad impression.

The best part of this place is the location! In the quieter part of the historic district and so easy to walk everywhere! Very clean. Communication was easy. We had issues accessing the lock box and someone answered and helped us. Unit was clean and matched the pictures. Parking was easy and plentiful on the street. Would definitely stay here again!

The apartment we stayed in was as described and seen in pictures. It is on the 2nd floor and accessed via doorway and stairs that do need some maintenance. The location is great and had everything we needed. The main bedroom's bed wasn't that comfortable and i would definitely recommend new sheets. The place is great as far as location and it was great to have the space!!

The apartment was bright, clean, and beautiful. Easy instructions and a great location away from the "riff raff". We were able to park the entire weekend in the same spot around the corner by feeding the parking meter $12/day.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Communication prior to our stay was great and allowed for easy access. Upon arrival the property was very clean with the exception of 1 live cockroach. That was the only bug we saw in the rental the whole time though, so it wasn’t a big deal to us. The carpets were vacuumed but did have stains. It is an older unit, so interior hallway prior to entry of the unit is a little dated. The resident that lives across the hall smokes, so the interior hallway often smelled like smoke, but it did not interfere with the smell inside the rental unit. Windows are older in the unit so the street noise at night was loud, but didn’t bother us too much. The location was great. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go within the historic downtown. The furthest west we walked was City Market and that was a 15 minute walk with kids. Riverfront was about 10 minute walk. Parking was easy and right in front of the unit. We did not use our car much, only to drive to Tybee Island (25 minute ride) and out to the UGA Marine and Wildlife Center. You could easily stay here without a car and get around just fine.

We loved our stay here! We celebrated my mothers 60th birthday in Savannah. Both my sister and I (34 y.o. And 32 y.o) as well as my 3 year old son and mother stayed here. The place was extremely clean and felt like home away from home. My son especially loved the top bunk. We were grateful to find such a great place to stay during our trip to Savannah. Thank you!

This is the perfect place for a long weekend. There were three of us. My mom took the king room and my sister and I took the bunk bed. Beds were really comfortable
hotel quality sheets and towels. This place would work great for a family of 4 or 5 as well. It was clean and had a nice kitchen. Not a lot of eating space, but we used the end tables for a casual pizza dinner. Everything is in walking distance but Uber was also really convenient. There’s also a hop-on-hop-off bus stop just a few blocks away if you do that one day. We would definitely stay here again.

Cool historic vibe with a convenient location. Family of 5 stayed here. One bathroom wasn’t unexpected, but rough. Loved the look and comfortability, but kids had crumbs in their bunk beds upon arrival. Keep in mind that Savannah only does metered on street parking, so try to purchase a meter pass for your stay from the Savannah Visitors Center prior to your arrival.

This was a perfect get away! The location is walking distance to sooooooo many thing! We got dropped off to the appointment then walked for everything the rest of the time. The apartment was clean and well organized. The beds were comfy and sheets were soft. The stairs going up to the apartment were steep and a bit small so just mind your footing. Also there is a weird thing in the doorway that I tripped on because it was dark. Basically the apartment is great with just the right amount of space, charm and confort it’s just has a few quirks.

Two bedrooms slept all four in our family comfortably. The location was fantastic for walking around historic Savannah or heading out to Tybee Island. Kitchen supplied everything needed for breakfast and lunch meals (all dinner meals were spent eating out at the excellent restaurants in the area). Parking was easy with the Savannah Park and Pay app. Word of caution, watch the no parking due to sweep times! They change even on the same side of the street. Made it all week without a parking ticket, until our last night. Overall, very pleased with the property!!

Overall, this place worked out OK, but there are some definite downsides and mismanagement, mixed with some good sides. The 2 things that immediately come to mind are the shower curtains were both very dirty (gag worthy!) and the washer/dryer was "out of order" which was a big problem considering we packed LIGHT with the expectation that we'd wash while there. There was a neighbor with a barking dog 5 feet from our door all day long for our 5 day stay too. We tolerated that, but wish we didn't have to. The carpet was also quite dirty. All these things could be fixed. Now the good. These are good enough that I'd consider staying here again. TV and internet worked great after calling in for the password, which is a huge deal for my kids. The location is great, just outside of the busiest part of River Street and Bay Street, but a 5-15 minute walk to anything. We've stayed on River Street and Bay Street several times before and overall I'd prefer this location. It was VERY noisy due to being near a major highway interchange, especially on the weekend. During the week, it wasn't too bad, thankfully. Overall the place was pretty clean with a few exceptions noted above. The old wood floors were beat to death and back, but that was part of the charm. I don't know if they were original (wish I did). The kitchen appliances all seemed to work and were clean, which helped for breakfast and when we didn't want to wait at a restaurant. The exposed brick walls were great and were as pictured. If you want to people watch from the window, forget about that, I never saw another soul walk past outside during our entire stay. We just picked a parking spot we could see from our window and used the parking app to pay each day, it was cheap and easy. Despite the problems, I'd stay here again.

We loved this place! Perfect accommodations for a girls weekend! Short walk to every landmark we wanted to see! Also close to great restaurants, shops, and the river walk!
