Ett av Savannas mest fotograferade och berömda hus. Det är verkligen ett av de finaste bostäderna i Sydost. Det finns nu som ett lyxigt fritidshus och evenemangsplats. Bo i varvets lyx som få upplever på Monterey Square i en av landets mest magiska städer. Mansion rymmer högst 20 gäster.

Det prisvärda "Wedding Cake Mansion" är juvelen på Monterey Square. Det historiska torget berömdes från att ha presenterats i filmen "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". Monterey Square är utan tvekan det vackraste torget i Savannah. Torget präglas av herrgårdar på alla hörn, draperade i spansk mossa och förankrade med historiska monument.

Detta 1869 2: a Empire Baroque Home tar andan när du ser det. Construction was interrupted by the American Civil War, and finally completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Before Hansford's death, as retold in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the house had already been the scene of two deaths. In 1913, a previous owner tripped over the second floor banister, fractured his hip, and suffered a concussion, dying three days later. In 1964, a boy chasing pigeons on the roof fell over the edge and impaled himself on the iron fence below.

We had an amazing birthday celebration with our group. The house was beautiful, furnished with amenities and located within walking distance of everything we needed. The host was responsive to our questions and comments. We would most definitely stay here again.

Amazing Time

To begin we loved loved loved the Wedding Cake House. It was so inviting and beautiful to stay. Plenty space for 15 w/ our own bathrooms and at night it was so quiet. We enjoyed eating together in the dining room and the kitchen was definitely a great hang out too. We made the trip to eat at my Nephews new restaurant “Brochu’s Family Tradition” and trust me we would given it 6 stars or more if we could. So if you add the house, location and Andrew’s restaurant it was one of Our Top vacations. We also had dessert at Better than Sex restaurant and that was a real treat too. The parks were beautiful and walking distance to sooo many. Look forward to returning to Savannah. Maybe we will come in the fall next time :).

Reunion

This property is even more spacious and beautiful than it looks in the listing and was the perfect setting for the 13 of us to meet in Savannah for a reunion. The kitchen was well stocked, allowing us to prepare meals, and the dining room was a comfortable size for us to eat together. The location is just around the corner from Forsyth Park, on a quiet street, and within walking distance to everything we did during our weekend stay.

50th Birthday Celebration

The location was perfectly located and we walked everywhere. The house is absolutely spectacular. My husband and I celebrated our 50th with family and friends, we had 8 couples including us and it was very spacious. I love every detail in the house, so many hidden gems. I would recommend this house a million times. Savannah is truly a magical, whimsical city.

We are a group of 7 couples aged 65 to 69 that have been friends since high school and college. Savannah was beautiful with lots of interesting things to do and this property was perfectly located to everything either by walking or relatively cheap Uber. The dining room was perfect for doing an in home dinner for everyone as well.

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Savannah

I will be booking my return to Savannah very soon. This is the only house I will stay for our visit. So much room and walking distance to all the sights. I highly recommend the Wedding Cake Collection Home. This was perfect for our parent's 50th anniversary!

Wonderful family weekend

We had a destination wedding in Savannah and I wanted a place for our two families to stay together. This property was perfect for us. Everyone enjoyed the beauty of the facility, the furnishings and the many small touches. It allowed my family to get to know her family in an intimate setting. Every couple had a private room that was nicely appointed. The photos online do not do this place justice.

Summer Trip

The property was the perfect location, very clean and great for a large group. The drinkware was very well stocked for both coffee in the mornings and drinks during the day. Could use some updated pots and pans but that only matters if you plan to cook a lot vs eating at Savannah's fantastic restaurants. There were 14 people in our group - originally supposed to be 16 but due to outside circumstances, just 14 of us. The property description states that there are 8 bedrooms with 6 kings and 2 queens but upon arrival, there were only 7 bedrooms - 5 kings and 2 queens. It didn't end up being an issue for us since we were down 2 people, but just be aware when booking. I understand that there is two pull out couches but in the description it seems like these pull out options are in addition to the 8 bedrooms. Other than that, I would gladly suggest The Wedding Cake Mansion to any group traveling to Savannah :)

Savannah Family Reunion!!

Three-generation family reunion. We rented the entire 3 units of the Wedding Cake House collection. There was plenty of room for the 14 of us. Fabulous historic home in a great location- walking distance to restaurants, shops and Savannah landmarks.

Savannah Destination Wedding

Our son and his beautiful wife chose Savannah for a destination wedding. Our immediate family (our married children and grandchildren) stayed at the Wedding Cake Mansion. We could not have found a more perfect place to stay. This beautiful home became our home for a few days and we fell in love with it. Thank it!

February 2022 Stay

My husband and I were married on 2/19/22 in Savannah and no other place could have been more perfect than the Wedding cake mansion. That being said, it's not without faults. In my opinion, it's time the property receive some in-depth maintenance so it's incredible beauty won't be dimmed for future visitors. The bathroom by the kitchen in the main house has a nearly-broken doorknob and the paint on the toilet seat is chipped. The cushion fillings in all the seats are worn and sagging, almost non-existent. The blue chairs in the living room and the chairs in the dinning room are stained and could use some deep cleaning or reupholstery. The courtyard and front steps need a deep pressure clean because they're very dirty. There are paint touch-ups throughout the property that are blatantly visible because the colors don't match up perfectly with the rest of the wall and they were done quite sloppily. There were several lightbulbs in the 3 properties that needed replacement because they'd gone out. Lastly, the third floor of the main house was uncomfortably warm on a pleasant February day - even with the ceiling fans turned on so I cannot imagine it in the Summer. Again, I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else but it's precisely because the property is so magnificent that these things which can be easily fixed are such big eye sores. Would love to stay again with my family in the future.

Married in Monterey Square

We rented this house on Monterey Square for my wedding in the square. We had our family stay with us and the house was perfect. It is a beautiful home, I walked to the square, and the different sections of the house were perfect for our guests. Plenty of space for people to spread out as desired. The pictures inside the house of us getting ready are beautiful. The garden apartment is especially kid friendly and worked out well. Location is fabulous, right off Bull Street, a short walk to Forsyth, and an easy walk to the river. Everyone loved it!

Beautiful Home for Wedding Week

This property was absolutely stunning with so much southern historical charm. It was the perfect house for my family to stay in while in Savannah for my wedding. It had plenty of rooms and we felt safe that we could be somewhat separated for any guests that wanted more space due to COVID. The photos in the home while I was getting ready for the wedding are stunning. I will recommend booking with trip insurance. The management company was not willing to refund any of our money back in March when we first had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, but they were very accommodating about moving our dates and not asking for any additional money. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Loved our stay! House is absolute luxury! Perfect for our large group of girls. The beds were so comfortable and I especially loved how the bedding smelled like fresh laundry. Felt right at home and knew I was sleeping in a clean bed. Would highly recommend.

Bachelorette Party success at the Wedding Cake Mansion for 19 women from Chicago

We had rented this property because my niece wanted her 19 closest friends and family to be one one roof. This place was perfect! There was plenty of room for all of us including using the Carriage House. The kitchen was stock with enough of the basics that we only needed to get a few things. The location was perfect! We could walk anywhere, Uber or Pedal cab it somewhere. The elevator in the house was used and quite beneficial for us with luggage and stocking the kitchen on the 2nd floor. The management company was thorough with check in and check out instructions. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting to host a large group or want to walk back in time to Old Southern Charm..
