Nicer that usual B&B

Tina was very welcoming and after a quick chat she showed us too our room. The kids had a separate bedroom adjoining ours which was great. We had a private bathroom. The hot water takes some encouragement to get going and the room felt cold and slightly damp even though it was summer outside. As often is the case in England, the ventilation was none exist leading to mouldy around the bathroom window frame. The walls are quite thin so we could hear others talking late at night. Breakfast was served quickly and cheerfully but the breakfast room is quite cold and bare, so all noises are quite loud and jarring first thing in the morning. Free parking right outside the door was great and we could walk to the seafront in about 10 mins. All in all we would stay here again if we could get it for the same price (about £100 for a family of 4)

The atmosphere felt like home. Tina was warm, welcoming to everyone and ensured our stay was comfortable. The room was a bit small, and on the top level (all stairs), but it was comfortable and clean. The beds were very cosy. Closing the window shut out the noisy seagulls. The appliances worked as expected. We had to figure out how to turn on the shower. A small fridge and a microwave oven would have been perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place to stay

Great place to stay, well maintained, fantastic breakfast with a warm welcoming friendly environment. Just a short walk to the beach and town centre. Really enjoyed our stay and we couldn't ask for a more. Highly recommend to stay here.

Lovely weekend in sunny Scarborough

Lovely welcome from Tina who was very helpful throughout. Room was small but beautifully formed. Breakfast fantastic. Under fifteen minutes walk into town or onto the beach; lovely gardens to visit nearby. My first visit to Scarborough and I will be back; back to Powys Lodge too.

We had a fabulous stay here. The property is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room was a good size with a nice, spacious bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and quality. Tina was the icing on the cake, a great host, friendly, warm and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend a stay at Powys Lodge and we hope to return before long.

We stayed here to go to a concert, we were able to walk to the north side of Scarborough, however it was a good 30 minutes for us, so maybe a car or taxi ride for anyone who cannot walk too far. The hotel was small but our room was fine for us, the bathroom was quite small and would be a challenge for the larger person, or someone tall. Our check in and out was fine and breakfast was lovely, cooked to order by the filling in of a slip the night before. The room was nice and clean, TV a decent size and a tea and coffee tray on the dressing table, all good. I would recommend and be happy to stay again.

Lovely 3 night stay, will be returning in future.

In Scarborough for the cricket so stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our twin room had an en suite and the room was well provisioned with drink making equipment and supplies. The breakfasts were great and our host Tina was very attentive to all our needs. The hotel is a ten minute walk from town and five minutes from the south bay heights from where you can walk down through the greenery to the beach or town. We visit Scarborough at least once a year and this will be our first choice going forwards

Excellent B&B

Excellent stay , The whole B&B was amazingly decorated throughout, spotless in all areas , room was of a good standard and great for my solo stay , felt safe and welcomed. Lounge area had large tv ( also smaller 1 in rooms ) with tea and coffee . Dining room had a luxurious feel to it , breakfast was amazing , hot and cooked fresh , nothing was any trouble for Tina . Had my own front door key so could come and go when wanted to . Just 5 mins walk from south bay , with great views out to sea , plus 15 mins walk into town centre . This was great little find and a bargain price with a 4 star rating , would definitely return and recommend to family and friends . The was no negatives to my stay .
